What point are you trying to make ?
I agree with a lot you said there Henke but surely Celtic Park on a matchday wasn't the time nor place to protest about this. If they'd done it after the game then that'd be fine but not during the game. Also a lot of Irish fought in the war as well.

Tell me something I don't know.
My grandfather fought at the Somme and was wounded before he could fire a shot in anger. He was machine gunned down one side of his body.
He was always against buying the poppy cos he didn't want peoples' charity. The fact is that the Irish that fought the English war were treated as second class citizens whilst serving the English army and even worse when the were back home. If you can't see the point Im trying to make then maybe you should get of yer * and read ALL my posts on this matter.

What has the poppy to do with Celtic? The likes of you disgust me. You moan about things, songs that are nothing to do with Celtic but accept all the pro British * that JR is bringing to the club.
Narrow minded is not a strong enough word for you.:31:

The wearing of the poppy is just showing respect for the REAL heroes. I don't see anything wrong with that but if others do - then that's their perogative.

What a sorry state of affairs for FOOTBALL fan's to get themselves into! I'm sure our irish players couldn't give a flying * if there's a poppy on their shirt, just as long as the cheque's in the post. Get a grip honestly!! "CELTIC FIRST CELTIC LAST & CELTIC OVER ALL"

For the last ime, no one is disputing the fact that you should celebrate your heroes. We are protesting about the fact that we who have heroes of our own who were murdered by the very people you hail as heroes. We don't want your heroes rammed down our throats any more than you want ours.

I finally understand your point :50:

Imo the real heroes are the soldiers that fought in the WW's. Although I don't agree with Britains part in the troubles or the war in Iraq - I wouldn't class them as heroes. I understand the Irish would have probably taken offence to the honouring of the british soldiers but I don't understand why the GB protested as I doubt that all of them are Irish just plastic paddies but I suppose JR is being hypocritical.

I wonder will they be wearing Easter Lillies remembering the brave men who stood up to an Empire in an attempt to get rid of the British Forces who occupy Ireland to this very day

    :rolf:

    No chance mate.
What you are missing is that Celtic is trying to rewrite it's history. Who the * was this Brother Walfrid? Poor childrens' dinner table? * was that?
Oh! And what the * is a triclolour flying above Celtic Park for?

We are a British team, so British that we should play * save the Queen over the tannoy before every game.

Oh! And don't mention the Pope. :fright:

I totally agree with you on the Irish support. I appreciate that they could have been and most probably were offended. I now see and they might do as well , that the wearing of a white poppy would have been a much better idea :50:

I find it funny the Bo'nnes poster, says bet you that guy with the Ireland top waving the tri-colour isn't even irish. Yet he has a Jungle Bhoy avatar which is a tri Colour logo, hypocrite.

Secondly he calls people "plastic paddies" yet his Favourite song is Let The People Sing. You couldn't make that up.

Im not logging back onto this forum it's full of new age punters, people who can't be arsed reading the full thread and just plain pro JR morons.
