Aww *, I forgot that you were the guy who made * up. And no, I'm not a political expert... although I find it funny that you find the need to be sarcastic to someone who simply disagrees with you.

I never said we have been as bad as Cuba and CHina in the last 8 years, I actually said the opposite that we would be under a 1 party system like Cuba and China if the Dems move past filibuster level.

And I agree that most Americans disagree with me... I scored in the top 1% of the nation on my SAT scores, it's expected. I'm actually glad most Americans (like you) disagree with me because most Americans are * stupid. Even you have said so much... I disagreed with the idea in 2000 when I was fuckign 11 years old and I was right then... I'm assuming I'll be right again.

McNaka and I are on both ends of the political spectrum as far as economics goes and we both agree that it's not in the best interest of the country to be unde complete control of one party EVEN THOUGH I AGREE that the Dems deserve their turn.

Please try again, actually please get smarter but that's not going to happen.

So you support the failure of the Senate to pass any major bills during the split and you want to continue having a government that is unable to do anything.

Wow you sound really smart. Didn't they pass some bill where people in the top 1% of SAT scores get 3 votes or something? (FYI, I scored in the top 1% of ACT scores and am hoping to do the same on my LSAT in 2 years. Please get over yourself. This is an internet forum for gods sake.) You sound really smart btw. Must be those multiple doctorates degrees you obviously have.

So you support the failure of the Senate to pass any major bills during the split and you want to continue having a government that is unable to do anything.

Please calm your internet rage. I'm just trying to comprehend your top 1% genius ideas. (You might want to invest in a spell checker. It will help when you pretend to be smart.)

How about we just agree to disagree and carry on with the thread? (English was my lowest score, anyway)

Heh, me too on the English.
And I got both of you beat... I never took ACTs or SATs and it hasn't kept me from going to college at all. So take that !

SATs plus AP scores were the only things that got me into college. Let's just say I didn't "apply" myself in high school. :56:I haven't met anybody at my college who had a lower GPA than I did graduating.

There are now officially 0 members of the House of Representatives from New England. That's what I call a mandate.

    And Mississippi goes to McCain.

McCain - 135 (Kentucky, South Carolina, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Alabama, Georgia, Kansas, Wyoming, North Dakota, Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas, Utah, West Virginia, Mississippi)
Obama - 207 (Vermont, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Maryland, New Jersey, Deleware, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, New York, Rhode Island, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Iowa, New Mexico, Wisconsin)

Virginia may start to actually tip to Obama now... and Florida seems to be showing a strong lean as well.
If either of those (and quite possibly both) go, this will definitely be a landslide in electoral votes.

Obama is leading now in Virginia... that makes him leading in Virginia, North Carolina, and Florida. If that happens he will have won all but two Atlantic states... that's huge.

The funny thing is that the popular vote, out of 50 million votes is separated by 700 thousand. The popular vote is much, much closer than the EC map is. Where's all the Democrats who were clamoring for the popular vote to be the preferred method. :icon_mrgreen:

I've never been a fan of popular vote. Can you imagine a recount? What a nightmare.
But I do think the way Nebraska and Maine do it is better. I kinda feel bad for Republicans in Washington just because their vote practically doesn't matter... it's a deep blue state.

Diegan, you seem quite clued up on this.
    What are Obama's main policies?

He wants to repeal Bush's tax cuts, wants to get out of Iraq quicker than McCain does, is more willing to talk with Raul Castro and Ahmadinejad (although there will be a few preconditions he has said), and McNaka can inform you on his health care plan better than I can.

-Pull out of Iraq in stages and refocusing efforts on Afghanistan
-Restore taxes to pre-Bush (basically earners above $250k/yr will have increased taxes again)
    -Healthcare for children
-Funding to alternative energy (though he isn't very pro-Nuclear, which is the big one we probably need)
-Sitting down to talk with Iran and other "hotspots"

That's what I thought up off the top of my head at least...
