End of the day, well done to him, but lucky draws, lucky goals, lucky results elsewhere. You can only legislate for your own performances which by the standards set by O'Neil have deteriorated under Strachan. Same goes for our league form.

    I went for 10!!

Why?? * knows, if I was sober I would have went for 8. I am not a Strachan sycophant, but I am supremely confident in his abilities to win us 4 in a row, at least 1 cup, and possibly a decent run in the Uefa cup.

Dissapointed in the performances in the CL, but I think mainly that is due to a harsh draw, a degree of unluckiness against Alborg, and 1 missed chance and a superb free kick againt Villareal. Imagine we had scored the penalty at home, and Sammy had taken the chance in Spain, we would be sitting on 4-6 points after 3 games, 2 of which were away !!!

    8.

Can't ask anything more from him bearing in mind the lack of financial clout we have compared to other teams in Europe, which is the only area we are not excelling in. Team is scoring goals, has strength in depth in midfield and arguably up front (one away IMO), and were it to be strong defensively would be in wonderful shape.

He has won a lot of fans over this season i think - seems far more composed....serene almost. Also seems to try to attract far less attention to himself which can only be a good thing.

how about having a greater than 5% success rate in the transfer market or producing a side that isnae so soul crushingly dull to watch that it drives attendances down 30%?

lol, I wish mate. Working in the morning. Seriously though Strachan's fortes are as follows, in this order:
Building a rigidly well organized team that defends as a unit
Building great fighting spirit in the team.

Good strengths to have as a manager, in fact they're the best things you could hope for in a manager of southampton. And *, their enough to win the league at Celtic when the huns hand it to you, enough to qualify for the last 16 if all your lucky stars align at once. But if they were the best fit for Celtic we wouldnae have a half empty stadium, terrible atmosphere and general feeling of BLAh about Celtic Park like we do.

Well look at our defensive record DESPITE the personell. That backs up what Im saying pretty well. As I said, the guy couldnae pick a footballer in a line up, especially a defender and yet our defence is still pretty sturdy

I suppose you prefer loosing titles on the last day like under MON, then having to win it back. 3 in a row is boring stuff...

The atmosphere in Celtic is down to the fans attitude, you cant complain about the team when you see scores of fans leaving early when we had games like Aberdeen this season. 2-2 and fans are leaving with the ball going from end to end and we get the winner in injury time.

That isnt Strachans fault, its the fans attitude and I'd wish they didnt get a season book with a negative attitude like that

Maybe a hun 9 in a row would revert back the attitude to what it was under MON? Appreciative for any win....

I prefer having the best Celtic team I feel we can. If the huns manage to go & amass 98 points and pip us then you hold your hands up, you've been bested. Like anything else you have to judge yourself against your own potential, not against the guy standing next to you....you might be standing next to a dosser or donald trump.

Your right our supporters need a kick up the balls, but the whole mood round the place has been rotten since Strachan came, whether its his fault or not. Maybe he's the best manager in the world, but clearly the support as a whole dont feel he's the right manager for Celtic, end of story.

Thats a minority not the majority

The fans stink attitude is the worst reason to sack a successful manager, the worst.

A minority on this site, probably 50/50 in the support at large. And the 20,000 empty seats every week shows the general mood isnae a good one

You're praising the team's defense despite the fact it's the one area of the squad (bar a better option as reserve keeper) that is not strong, however.

Left and right back dodgy, plenty of criticism for McManus.... i wouldn't say Strachan can be said to be building from the back whatsoever.

I know this is a very extreme example, but lets say advocaat is fired, zenit get a black manager, they want rid of him for that, is it right?

You would take a manager that has a better rapport with the fans over a successful one? Thank * that this isnt people with that mentality running the club.

Lemme think of all the failed managers that came here on their rapport with the fans.....

There has been more managers like that than any other at this club. Do people like learning the hard way or something??
