IRN BRU

I was wondering if it was available anywhere outside scotland??? having not travelled out of the UK much I don't know, perhaps the international bhoys could say if they have heard of this fine drink or not??

My dad tells me they now sell it in Portland where he lives, also I saw it in Canada when I was 18

 

i bought it in blackpool years ago n it was in a green glass bottle

 

Apparently the Irn Bru that is sold in America tastes different, as there's some sorta 'illegal' additive that doesn't comply with strict US regulations.

 

I seen it in Spain a few times and got a can of it on an American Airlines flight once...

 

Thats true, one of the e additives is banned in America because its thought to be carcinogenic.

 

You can buy it in Australia, readily available in the supermarkets and petrol stations, doesnt taste the same and it has hardly any fizz, a bit flat really!!!!

 

I heard a different version which was that you had to list all ingredients of foodstuffs imported to the US and Barr refused to do that as there is a secret ingredient that only 2-3 people know about....

 

Yup get caught with the brew in the USA and you are on the orange overalls for a wee while

I bought some when I was in Canada mate so the answer is yep you can :icon_mrgreen: Drinking a bottle just now :icon_mrgreen:

 

Does anyone else think a glass bottle of bru is better than the * tasting plastic bottled stuff?
