    It dont matter who we could get for 10 million Lawwell wont spend that on one player mate we will get some bargain basement guy then be expected to compete in europe and i know we have done the last couple of years but i fear we are being found out this year.

    If Strachan could be trusted with transfers, i think 10 million is a steal, we could get in someone better with end product too, OR we could buy a few players who would improve the squad overall.

    Even if we had had spent 20 million on 4/5 players this season last nights results would probably have been the same. and we would be back to the club being massively in debt. look how much west brom spent in the summer. and villa and newcastle last season. both were taken apart by Man Utd.
    We have to bring players through our Youth system that is the be all and end all of it. we cannot compete consistently with the big teams in Europe with the amount of money we have to spend.

    You seriously think that Aiden McGeady would get a regular first team place at a top five EPL team? You're having a laugh pal. Unless he works on his shooting, crossing and reading of the game to know when to pass he'd be lucky to win a move to Birmingham if/when they get promoted.

    Well I'm not sure if Stan was being greedy, he did say that after 7 years he had lost his passion for the Scottish game. Not that he didn't want to play for Celtic, he just needed a fresh challenge. Think it was the 7 year itch thing.

    McGeady did say over the summer that Celtic was the right place for him to develop just now and he was also quoted as saying that he wants to win the next 5 league championships with us. He wants to be considered a Celtic legend when he eventually does leave. I don't think we'll see him go just yet.
