this is actually a common occurrence on here , its like every celtic supporter must agree and act like drones or be questioned

I see lots of folk who are very easily led in to a mob mentality.

 

Although I disagree with the way people acting, I actually agree that it's quite annoying when someone accuses another of being rangers-like when they are being "mean." Just because we follow Celtic doesn't mean we are all Saints.

 

Our club purports to have an ethos of tolerance, decency and humility. If someone claims to be a Celt they should attempt to display those qualities.

 

I agree, but people slip. That doesn't make them a "hun" (I hate using that word, but it's what people say when they accuse), and most of the time people come up with that accusation it's more to do with disagreeing rather than having some offensive comment.

 

when i was in seville ,me and a mate watched with thousands others on a big screen near the stadium

the final whistle blew and we retreated with tears in our eyes ,passing one guy who i'll allways remeber saying 'we'll stay and watch them get their medals ' , alien to me ,just not for me

anyways we are half crying ,distraught ,angry ,gutted and trying to compute what has evolved that game .....some fukn * decides he wants to scrap because we where not laughing joking and enjoying the win lose or draw mentality ..... that was the point that i decided im not into the celtic 'family' bollocks , i have opinions and im not going to follow a 'party line' of how i should think

"you guys" meant the guys i've gotten to know on Talkceltic, not all celtic fans.

The way i see it is the guy just watched a major event unfold, got grabbed by the media and the words he spoke turned him into a cult figure. He said what we all wanted to hear and the press made him a hero.

Ok he may have been sucked in and made out he played a bigger part than he did, but, he has always said there were guys there who did more than he and didn't think it was right he was getting more attention that they. That's the media for you!

I saw his interviews and was proud to be a Scot but (i'll be honest here) when i heard he was a rangers fan it put me off him (my bad)

He's now seriously ill in intensive care and as a human being, nothing to do with football, i wish the guy well.

 

Serious question RT what did you do when the players got there medals , did you just wonder off into the seville wilderness or did you stay on the swally way the rest of the fans personally i never had much option as I was i the stadium and felt it was right to boo they cheeting porto bassas the players deserved credit that night but i agree 2nd place is * pish feelin mate

 

And when they slip all the time and are as bigoted as huns, they are no different from huns.

 

i was walking back amongst thousands to the city centre , spent hours fannying about and really letting the worst feeling ever sink in .....getting to a major eurpoean final in my lifetime and losing , i all ways had an incline and thought it would be the ultimate too much to take in if we reached a euro final and lose , ( never ever did i expect us to get that far also )

You are just looking for an argument, this is silly. Slipping once or twice is not the same as having a pattern of that behavior, and you conveniently left out the last part of my statement where people often (usually, actually) use that insult just for disagreeing.
