I think the least we can do is go down and organize a large community project to clean up their streets while we hand them 6 points.

Thankfully I don't think the players think like this however.

Wonderful. That is a joy to hear.
Do you think maybe if the fans start to get behind the team we might be able to give them a wee game of it?

No reason we can't. Win lose or draw we should be supporting the team.

I did not think that because my love for the club but because I knew we where the best in the league and that Rangers away record was crap.
There was reason to feel optimistic.

Now going down to Manchester and winning, well that's a different ball game all together.

Who is the last team to beat UTD at home

Man city was the last, the day of the Munich disaster anniversary
west ham last game of the season the year before. the league was won
Arsenal the year before that. THATS IT.

That's the task we have ahead of us.....the team that win the champions league...the team that don't need to move up a gear to beat the likes of us on a normal day.

Still, I'm going to watch it and pray to * for a miracle, if it happens I just know I won't sleep for a week and i'll have the biggest smile on my face that says could life get any better than this

Ferguson said it. Gary Neville was out here last year and said it to me personally. Paddy Crerand said it.
'Manchester United ALWAYS have to step up a gear when they play Celtic, even in a friendly.'

Our team is not *. We have a very good team. Be proud of it and don't sell the bhoys short.

You're right, we do have a very good squad although I wouldn't say we always put out a very good team on the park, but there are many factors which come into play as to why players or the team as a whole don't perform.

Regarding Man Utd though, lets put things into perspective. Man U in 3rd gear are better than us in 4th, although when it comes down to it, it's 11 against 11 and some teams have inexplicable off days while others can raise their game to a far higher level, even if only once in a blue moon. Hull playing Arsenal were a very good example of a team of lesser ability having the motivation and the correct tactics which enabled them to beat a team far more skillful than their own. There's no reason why we can't go down there and score and possibly even win the game, but it's reliant on every Celtic player putting in a shift of extraordinary effort, every player being suitably motivated to want to win the game, even at the expense of personal injury and lastly....us going down there with the correct game plan and that last fact I honestly believe is the most important.

I'm more than a little afraid that Strachan will force our wide players to sit too deep to try to stifle the runs of Evra and Neville (if he plays) but I'd view this as being too negative. To win at Old Trafford you have to put your players on the park with the mindset to cause Man U problems and to force them to either abandon, or at least deviate from their intended game plan. They have players of far higher ability and skills than we have, but that does not mean to say our players should feel inferior. They should be going there with heads held high as the champions of Scotland desperate to show a watching audience of millions that we are good enough to beat the European Champions on their own ground and to beat them well!

If we go there to try to defend we will lose. If we go there desperate to win the game and with the hunger to go on the park and bully Man U on their own park, we can win and win in style!

    We are Celtic!

    Hail Hail!
