They probably bought him as a 1 or 2 year gamble. They will train him up etc and then decide if he has moulded into the player they want. Hopefully he gets a wee run out sooner rather than later as I want to see how he does.

I've seen him 3 times for the Reserves since he signed. He was fairly quick by Eircom League standards but his pace seems to have deserted him.Only time will tell whether it will return with match fitness or if he's just not quick by SPL standards. He does his best work when he cuts inside into the centre. He's still got a great touch and he can really pick a pass.At the moment he's not up to first team standard but a few more months in the Reserves will do him good.

Mizuno played really well in the Rangers match. He's obviously done a lot of work in the gym because there's a notable difference to his physique compared to when he first arrived.Apart form his excellent technical ability, what impressed me in that match was his work ethic and willingness to get stuck in.

some of you are so stuck up your own behind its beyond ridiculous.

im so glad you can value a player based on him not making the team yet when we all knew he was a project for the future.

ALSO HE DID NOT FAIL AT MOTHERWELL FFS. BEFORE YOU SAY SOMETHING AS FACT. ACTUALLY BE SURE OF IT. HE REJECTED MOTHERWELL

McCourt strikes me more as another natural CAM... a player the attack flows through in the middle of the park. If we play him at RM or LM, I think it would be a little similar to how Naka plays at RM for us -- cutting in a lot and drifting.

What you say about Mizuno isn't surprising at all to me. He's always been able to play anywhere down the right... the rare kind that could be a wingback in a 352. Everyone wanted to compare him to Naka, but they're very very different. He and Caddis have a lot more in common. I'd kill to see them both bombing down the right in the future.

We haven't even had a chance to see the guy yet and the way it stands with all the wide players fit I don't think we will for some time unless we see flashes of him as sub late in games.

It's difficult to tell what he can do in reserve games but he does have good control and an eye for a pass but maybe lacks a bit of pace.

You cant just make a statement like that before he has even been given a real chance.

he seemed ok against Man City and Mr.Brightside is right ,he hasnt been given a real chance.naybe in a cup game he will shine then w can ease him in for general uses as cover for either wing.

Seemed a strange singing at the time. If he starts more than 3 competetive games this season I would be astonished.

i see what your saying, but both naka and wgs have said he would be a natural successor to naka, and naka has stated he hope he does well, but not too well as he would keep him out the team, may not be the same kinda player but deffo in for the same positions

Right, I think that was part of the mixup. They're both RMs for us -- but Naka isn't a pure winger by any stretch of the imagination. Mizuno isn't quite as technical and doesn't have the same vision, but he's much more athletic and well rounded.

Have just got it off his cousins that he is a bit of a lazy *. Evidently WGS said he'd let him get a shot in the team if he beat Artur in a sprint, and he failed.

He's been injured "for feckin months" too.

What a ridiculous post. Under 4 ft? Won't succeed anywhere due to his height? Yea, cuz Maloney and Messi are real tall ones aye.

    Wind your neck in.
