Fact is, we are out our depth in the CL, and probably always will be. We ride our luck at home, and that will end this season to.

Id take Uefa cup as I think we could make a decent impact in that - that is our level. We're a big name from a * league, we will never be able to match these teams, unless somehow we produce some miracle starting 11 from the youth side.

I'd take 3rd in a heartbeat, we were never coming out this group.

    FFS Calm the * down!

They are a very good side, we tried and played better than previous away CL games. I'm as raging as any * at the way the goal was lost, Artur not positioning himself correctly, same as saturday. BUT...Overall we stuck in there with an unknown formation to us (451, anti-fooball doesn't work), and we had a good few chances just never went our way. We had a tough time against a tough team! END OF

We can still qualify and we can still get our away win. 2 more home games and an away tie to aalborg.

FFS PLEASE STOP THE NEGATIVITY, but feel fee to leave your well thought out posts

    Hail Hail

    Keep the faith

because he dares to speak out does that make him anyless of a fan?

you really need to take your head out of your * and form an opinon of your own. just because fans do not tow the party line, and dare to question decisions and players do they all of a sudden lose the right to become fans of the club?

the best thing from the game's the result. only 1-0 makes us look better than we actually were. poor finishing and boruc denied a massive defeat.

but we mustn't forget we played a quality side!

At what point did we ever have the better of them? We had some decent shows on counter attacks but chased the ball most of the half... when you do that you get tired fast and it showed.

Consider this... we're relying on a striker who couldn't get a game at ManCity, a winger that couldn't get a game at Aston Villa, an aging winger whose team disappeared into Serie B after he left, a fullback from Wolves, and the core of the team picked up from Motherwell, Dundee United, Hibernian, Hearts.

I don't like talking our team down... but we're clearly out of our depth and it showed.

    Did we really though ?

personally i thought we made them look good, we don't tackle at all, therefore can't expect to have possession.

We just stand and watch them, which allows them to pass the ball with ease to a team-mate, the team-mate they have passed it too is standing all alone, because our full backs can't defend.

    I like villarreal, but i don't think they're a quality side.

I think the fact that nobody in the wall was a bigger disgrace. Artur has always given players plenty to aim at when faced with a freekick.

Il agree Naka wsa poor very poor, but Aiden was actually are only threat going forward.
Lads theres nothing else to say but were not good enough, end of....
Boruc, Caldwell, McManus, Aiden and Brown only players that could be proud of their display.
Wilson, Naylor, Hartley, Naka and Samaros not good enough for this level

We go over 2 spain, play a team that are top of the spanish league, a team that have only conceded 2 goals all season.

We get beat with a free kick, we got beat by a top quality side, no disgrace, one of our better away performances.

    No disgrace.

How? Complain about us losing against a team that are top of the spanish league? That makes you think that we deserve to beat Madrid, Man Utd, Juve, etc..

We have never been able to do that. We've scraped it a couple of times 30 years ago but really. We played well against Vill, we lost out by a lucky freekick, in he same way that we beat Man Utd by a lucky freekick.

I see RT's point. We did play crap 2nd half, no real chances, poor kicks into the box, useless tackles. 1st half we could've stood a bit of a chance, but the formation wasn't the right one. We couldn't keep the ball at all hardly the 2nd half, they were passing about as if we weren't even there to try and stop it.

HOlding a team that finished 2nd in La Ligua for 70 minutes who only scored because a) the refs a * and b) the wall didn't jump is a * joke?

LOL seriously what did you expect? A 3-0 drubbing? Celtic controlling the entire game playing a 4-2-4 with no doubt Crosas instrumental and some wonderkid from the reserves at left back?

Have a reality check mate your depressing me here
