I'm sure we are all looking to pinpoint the weaknesses in our performance against Aalborg. Well for me it's the same problem every week-there is no-one in the midfield capable of linking the defence to the attack line.

naka, maloney and mcgeady are individual performers, "one touch of magic" players. What we need is a player like Murdoch or Burns or McStay or Petrov, box to box midfielders that drive the team forward at pace.

Until we find that person we will struggle. End of rant.

Crosas is the only option. He has the class, the vision, and the touch that none of our alternatives offer.

Brown needs to be dropped, even for a short period of time. That is fairly evident to most supporters just now.

yep, look what happened to McGeady, bit of a dip in form and hes dropped for 2 consecutive games, how long will it take Strachan to relise Brown is playin bad and needs to be dropped like McGeady? its not just Strachan Garry Pendry and Neil Lennon are also there lookin at the team, they should be tellin WGS if he cant see if for himself...

Must admit that i'm seeing Brown more as a right mid at the moment than a centre mid. I haven't seen enough of Crosas to pass judgment but his reputation is for being able to ping longer passes that miss out players and that is what we need.

I'd line him alongside Hartley or Robson becasue i think Robson and Hartley are too similar in style and offer little variation to each other.

At the moment our central midfield basicaly just act as intermediaries between the two wingers. I'm happy for one of them just to knock the easy ball and be more defensive in the Hartley mould, but the other has to offer something more, either destructive passing like hopefully Crosas can or bursting into the box like we hoped Brown would.

I still hope that Brown will develop into that box to box midfielder we hoped he'd be, but he is running out of time. He has to do something this season or he'll be out in the cold.

Crosas and Brown in centre mid for me..agree that Brown is looking pretty grim at present, but he's not being helped by his choice of partner.

Brown has been asked to play a holding midfield role. That IMO is not his position. It certainly wasn't when he played with Hibs. Bring in Crossas to do that job. I realise he is untested, however we've seen many combination in the centre of the park and not many of them seem to work

aye agreed. The biggest problem is the fact that our centre mids arent willing to ever have a dig. They just take it and put it out wide to our wide players expecting them to do something and never try anything for themselves.

Spot on - i was in Alicante last week, so could not attend the Motherwell game, but my old man said the two of them worked together very well, and that he'd like to see more of it.

For a man who dislikes Brown as much my da does it must have been better than what we have been used to...

Would be a brave decision, but IMO ultimately worthwhile.

Great teams build from the back. Sorry but the biggest problem is our entire back line, need that sorted first.

Oh,and Brown is * with a capital SH.

It wasn't the defences' fault that we drew 0-0 last night was it?

For me it should be Robson and Crosas in the middle. Not Scott Brown.

Interesting mate - a lot of us seem to be swaying towards Crosas all of a sudden...

Undoubtedly, Brown is playing worse than Robson at present, but i think a large part of that is due to Brown being asked to perform a role he is not accustomed to - all his drive seems to be taken out of him, and with a steadier influence like Crosas next to him (never losing the ball), it would allow him to do what he does best - i think it's a risk worth taking for at least three games to see if we can get something better out of our 4.4 million signing..

You must understand that Crosas can't defend well, and we would need a true holding mid to do the dirty work. 4-1-4-1 with the 4 midfielders our most gifted ones(McGeady, Naka, Crosas, Maloney). That'd do good in Europe.
