Him, Ange or Knutsen should all be in the frame. Marco Rose, too.

The rest of the names linked are bleak.

Lennon (first stint), Ange and BR all been successful so i have more faith in them finding a manager than a player. Pretty good record over the years even prior to Lennon. Deila excluded

    Not worrying in the slightest.

Every manager on the planet has a stale spell at a club. Look at both of Rodgers stints.

McKenna’s ideas would be new for us and he’d bring a modern approach that we’ve been dying for.

It’s the same with players, going to see what the fans think of them is pointless.

Let’s just hope Dermots had his ego bruised enough to actually appoint a manager with a good enough calibre. Not holding my breath on that one though.

Scunnered with it all tbh. The board and Desmond need * chased this is a complete * show.

Plenty of talent out there, although bringing them to the club is a whole different chiwawa.

    Steve Clarke for me

If we want to punch above our weight in Europe, Clarke I believe is the man for that

Took West Brom to 8th in EPL, that's punching above his weight, West Brom will most probably never finish as high again in EPL, they're currently struggling to even get back into EPL

Took Kilmarnock to 3rd in Scotland, if he could take Kilmarnock to 3rd in Scotland, he can take us to 1st in Scotland no problem, also regularly took points off us and the huns as Kilmarnock manager, more evidence of punching way above his weight given the resources he was working with

Took Scotland to a major tournament for the first time since 1998, then qualified Scotland for another major tournament and is now on the verge of qualifying Scotland for the WC, which hasn't happened since 98, took big scalps in wins against Spain and Croatia, got draws against Portugal, England and Holland

We haven't made it past a round in Europe after Christmas since 2004, I honestly believe Clarke is the man to finally shatter that horrendous stat

I think he has that presence and fear factor about him too when he walks into a room, players don't want to disappoint him, they're almost frightened to, sure he's a bit dour but that's part of his makeup as a manager

Now folk will speak about his style being * and boring, but I don't believe that's a fair accusation, he works with what he's got to get results, look at Motherwell manager currently, everyone has been raving about their football but he's barely picked up wins, Ange played amazing football here domestically but came up far too short in Europe, we need a manager who will win both domestically and in Europe, Clarke is that guy in my opinion

Besides, a quick look on his track record shows a 3-0 win against Liverpool, 3-0 against Hibs, 5-0 against Hamilton, 3-0 against Southampton, 3-0 against Cyprus, 3-0 against Sunderland, don't see how he achieved such results with boring, eye bleeding football

Plus he's already familiar in certain players like McGregor, Forrest, KT, Ralston, knows Scottish football inside out, there's no language barrier like there was a little that time with Ronny

All in all I think Clarke is a safe pair of hands to deliver domestic trophies and have us punching above our weight in Europe, something I've craved for a long, long time

For those not interested in Clarke you can probably rest easy as I haven't seen his name mentioned in any bookie odds

Clarke plays one of the most boring tactical games since the invention of football. And he is a * narcissist also. It's all about him him him.

I'd love Steve Clarke here more than 95% of Celtic fans, but the SFA won't let him go when he's doing a great job. We do need a manager similar to him, perhaps younger.

A possibility that has sailed thanks to the hit piece on Rodgers in the papers and now yesterdays hit piece on the clubs own website by Desmond. No genuinely top level manager is signing on to be stabbed in the back like that.

I’d chuck football if we gave Clarke the job. His football is * eye bleeding.

McKenna…a year ago then maybe. Gives me vibes of being another Russell Martin.

Think McKenna is miles ahead of Martin.. he showed loyalty and it cost him.. some big hitters were in for him.
