Enough is Enough

after watching 11 imposters attempt to play football tonight iv decided that i cant take it anymore, therefore tomorrow morning i will phone the ticket office and return my season ticket.

now before you all start to slate me worse than that pigeon dude, at least hear me out.

iv been a Celtic supporter for 20 years (im 24) and a season ticket holder for 13 years, iv stuck by them through it all; the boycott under the old board, wayne biggins, calr muggleton, the Venglos and Barnes era's, Artmedia, clyde the lot. But now the time has come to face the truth that i have lost all interest in going along to celtic park and having to watch that utter pish. i find it boring and no longer enjoy being there.

This past summer has made me sick to my stomach, the blatant incompitence by the board came home to roast tonight when we couldnt even manage a shot on goal agianst a mid-table Danish side. however even if there was decent money available to spend that loathsome wee * would simple waste it anyway, his signing are nothing short of a disgrace, i sit at parkhead watching those duds out there on the park and cant get my head around how one man has been able to drag the standard of our club down so quickly.

5 years ago i watched the greatest Celtic side i had seen march to a european final with some wonderful performances full of passion and fight led by a man that made you proud to be a celtic supporter. he had a team that would have run through brick walls but my * could they play.

what do we have now? a LB who is utter pish but is guaranteed a game every week cause there is nobody else, a Captain who was so bad that under O'Neill he was barely a squad player, a 4.5mil pound midfielder who runs about like a headless chicken on smack, a player who only getsa game cause he can occassionally score a free kick, a stricker with an * the size of a sumo wrestler and as for the rest?? mediocre players signed from mediocre SPL sides, i said it over and over again if yuo continue to fill your team with mediocre SPL players then that is what you will become.

it's time we woke up, we are being robbed blind. the board continue to charge us a fortune for season tickets and continue to find other ways of getting our money off us, 2 new strips per season FFS, and what do we get in return?? Paddy * McCourt

i am a celtic supporter and always will be but at this moment in time im a celtic supporter who cant bare to watch such a poor shadow of the team i love.

its about the bigger picture.

we have a team that plays with absolutely no urgency what so ever. they play about 40 * wee passes across the back and middle and then when one of them gets fed up doing it they hump along ball up to no *. they have done it for 2 years and its not entertaining.

i work * hard to earn my money and am no longer prepared to pay it to watch Strachan's brand of football and the players he has filled our team with.

 

Well said mate, the only part I disagree with is you handing back your season but hey I understand your reasons for doing so.

 

its on principle as much as anything, i feel utterly let down by the way the board have CONNED us this summer.

I kind of agree with you - because the team is so much worse than it has been before.

We are so mediocre at the moment - i'm the same age as you, and it's definitely the least interesting time in my life that I've been a Celtic fan. The team is slowly going backwards, but not slowly enough to concern the board and bring about change.

We have had some amazing results over the years at CP in the CL, but we have no given right to win home games. As in tonight, we did everything but score. We absolutely battered that mob. Yes we drew, yes we might have won the game, but come on this is the CL after all.

We have all been banging on about WGS making changes and trying to freshen things up, yet when he does he gets sated.

You are living in a time warp if you think this Celtic board will sanction 6/7 million pound transfers, like they did under MON, we are the way we are because of financial restrictions.

The days of Sutton, Hartson, Lennon, Larrsson, Thomson etc are long gone! Accept it!!!

We have to deal in the market we are capabile of dealing in. Yes some of our players need a rocket up their * and some need to go down london road, take the M8 cut off and * off home, unfortunatly that is the position Celtic FC are in.

Look at Newcastle FC, a billionaire in charge and he CANT afford to buy the players capabile of competing in their league.

Watch the highlights we battered them tonight a pen and an on side goal, one of these things!

We have no given right to win ANY game.

If you think this Celtic board will sack WGS, get a huge european name in and spend loads of cash on the team, please think, think again!

Dont matter who we have in ( I think WGS is the best we can get, afford) we are working under serious financial restrictions.

Wake up guys, no matter what spin CFC club put on it, no matter if we win the Champions League, Celtic FC at this moment in time WILL not EVER spend tens on millions in the transfer market.

No matter if we had the best manager in the world it aint ever going to happen.

We have to accept that, Celtic FC are one of the biggest clubs in the world, working to tight financial restraints!

How many of us would, take a 10k loan and buy 10k worth of lottery tickets, in the hope that we would win, or how many of us would buy a 1pound ticket in the hope that we will win?

Think about it!!
