another thing about the prank is that it has changed my opinion of people on here. those who didnt know it was a prank but were still giving abuse.i thought that was out of ordrer.those who were in on the prank,and i think i know who all was,well then i can understand now why they were being so nasty,but the others have no excuse.


all in all i dont think any good has came of it,it wasnt funny at the time and aint funny now.

I actually thought about it, but when Paul67 and Immortal were slagging on him on the first two pages I just assumed it wouldn't get me anywhere.

I think the Gold Members and Mods are getting a little two defensive with ellboy too. He's said in every post that he thinks it's a good joke and that he's willing to leave it at that, but then you all edit that part out and have a go at him for feeling a little betrayed. It was pretty convincing and he was just trying to help, I'd probably feel a bit that way, too.

Again, this isn't to say it wasn't funny, but you guys are being way more defensive than he is.

 

It hasnt been ignored but when we are accused of wrong doing, it kinda gets thrown to one side and with good reason. The GM's know exactly what went on. You, ellboy and the rest of the regulars dont. People make accusations and expect us to take unjust critisisms on the chin? Not a * hope of that happening.

It was a joke and people got punked, some cant take a joke, their problem.

This whole thing was just... odd though. I never thought it was funny, not because I'm a particularly sensative fellow, I just didn't find humor in it. Most people did, so I guess they succeeded, but I'd be lying if I said this didn't feel like a huge advertisement for being a GM, which is kind of weird. Just look at one of the posts on the first page.

And Dempsey, fair enough. That is a fairly outlandish accusation and I didn't even really understand what ellboy was accusing you of until you posted just because it was such a strange accusation, especially if you know how emails and pms on sites like this work.

 

Half the mods were having a go themselves, and the most adamant at being over the edge. Who am I going to report you to? Yourselves?
I'd be lying if that thread didn't make me lose a lot of confidence in the mods when it happened. Now I'm relieved to find that you're not all a bunch of *... you're just a bunch of smartasses. And I can at least appreciate that.
