'Honest' mistakes 25/26

Discussion in 'Celtic Chat' started by Callum McGregor, Aug 20, 2023.

  1. Did they even check the penalty incident??

  2. But only 4 mins stoppage , every time we touched a hibs player was a free kick, if the handball was at our end its checked

  3. He's been at it for years this *..

  4. According to BBC match stats we committed 16 fouls to their ONE.

    Couldnae make it up...

  5. Tbh he was at it but lets be honest he probably saved those poor * in the stand by not adding any more minutes as could've played all night and not scored.

  6. Worst refereed game since he done the opening day against St Mirren. The amount of time wasting he does and then probably only gives you closer to half the added time he should.

  7. Just saw that stat today , completely unbelievable, something should be said about that . Don Robertson is by miles the most biased against us . Constantly breaks up play , any opposition player drops to the floor , free kick to them . He’s about as blatant as they come , a filthy rat dob .

  8. For all the fouls he gave them for basically players just bumping into each other and them going down.

There was one near the end when one of them maybe Mulligan batter Scales off the park on the touchline and he just shrugged his shoulders and gave them the throw in.

The * probably gave Hibs 8-12 freekicks for a guy nudging into our player and going down and then with us on the attack and a blatant barge off the park suddenly isnt a foul lol

I mind not so long ago someone presented stats on here. They showed that we were awarded more fks in one European game than our last 3 league games combined. The poster may remember. Was the days of Bobby Madden.

  9. He's 100% a cheating *..

It's everytime we get him, which is all the time..

Could go back years and years to him doing us in games at Dingwall, letting shocking challenges go on players. Letting go County players running clean through at Ibrox to be hauled down. Livi last 2 year ago ruled out a Livi late equaliser for nothing against that mob yet again..

The KT one studs up all on his leg from Bowman. A whole catalogue of one's. McGregor from Porteous at Easter Road. Turnbull at Tannadice. Sure it was him when McGregor got his face done at Alloa as well..

You could go on and on and on..

1 foul on 90 yesterday. Lol. Couldn't buy a foul against the mutants at Ibrox for long long spells the other week. Just kept giving them dangerous ones 30 yards from our goal that almost cost us the game..

He's a rat that needs outing..

  10. That penalty the huns got was a * joke again, that happens ever corner in football.

  11. 100% they get pens literally for * all.

  12. Nothing new about that but they still believe that everyone is against them

  13. Roberstons always done this...breaks up play and gives opposition every 50/50 in our games..worst of the lot.

  14. Even my hibs pal said that ref was at it. Clear as day.

  15. Aye when you look simply at the stats, it's quite baffling how the fouls commited stat is the one that's so wildly out of place.

16 times more fouls than they had (nice simple 16-1 of course).
Which, considering we had 77% ball possession to their 23% it's impressive that the team with more than 3 times the ball possession some how commited 16 times more fouls.
Or the team that made 92% accurate passes totalling 693 successful passes, somehow commited more fouls than the team that only made 156 completed passes.
Or the team that had 26 shots (15 IN the box) to the team who had 4 shots, meaning one team was roughly 6.5 times more often IN the opposition box with the ball, attacking, some how made 16 times more fouls than the team who basically had a shot every 20 minutes to our 3-4 minute shot effort.

Yet, for all the possession, all the shots we made, for all the successful passing and all attacking play we done, somehow we got bullied (going by the stats) and yet also managed to commit a * ton more fouls.

By stats, Hibs, while being absolutely * poor football wise, somehow managed to win more duels, aerial and ground. Almost like, as others have said, every 50/50 went their way. That even though we had so much ball possession and attacking moments, our play was still constantly stopped.

For me you take one of two things away from those sort of stats, either one team is really * * and got away with a lot, or the ref is biased.

  16. I watched both our game and the huns at Livi over the weekend.

If you watched both games and saw that the games were both level going into injury time and one game was awarded 4 minutes injury time and one game was awarded double that you'd be scratching your head wondering how that could be the case.

There should definitely have been at least 6 or 7 minutes injury time on Saturday. Hibs were winding down the clock from very early in the second half.

  17. Don Robertson was at it again, as usual, he has a long list of previous against us, and Celtic should definitely ask the question of Willie Collum why he gave 16 fouls against us and only one to Hibs, when Celtic had 77% possession. Then there is the little matter of the VAR man Steve McLean, whose brother played for Rangers.

As regards the 4 minutes extra time, yes we probably should have had a good bit more for all the time wasting Gray's team did, but quite honestly the only way we looked like scoring was if we had been awarded an unlikely penalty by Robertson and McLean. Rodger's was panicking and throwing substitutes on like confetti with no discernable plan and to no effect.

  18. We probably created more chances against Hibs than we did against any side we've played this season, another 4 minutes could have made the difference.

  19. I couldn't see myself it to be honest. The stack of subs Brendan made killed the original momentum of the team and we actually looked worse. Bringing Forrest on and then slotting Maeda to the centre made absolutely no difference. It looked like Kairat all over to me, we were never going to score.

Taking Iheanacho off was a real head scratcher to me too.If anybody was going to score, it would have been him I thought.
