For me, Lawwell is the problem. I think things will improve immeasurably if he moves on. Think Nicholson is out of his depth also so we will need a new CEO in as well.

Lawwell and Wilson off the board
    Jamieson sacked as PR chief.

Then we can get Nicholson and mckay to * later in season.

Not getting rid of them all at 1 time not a chance

Tbf to McKay. His role is a bean counter, our finances, commercially we do well and are in good shape and all that so he is fulfilling his remit. I don't believe he really has much strategic sway - that is the role of the CEO. I don't really see much point in removing him. Lawwell gas always been the problem. He is a dinosaur, a micromanager and a slimy snake.

Nicholson has proven at this point that he's out of his depth as a CEO, he is effectively a lame duck there. He needs to go too and someone from outside appointed to the role with a big vision for the club. Whether Nicholson is demoted or leaves I don't really mind.

The problem with Desmond is that he's not all that interested in Celtic. He has entrusted the board to run Celtic and Lawwell has dominated the thought process of that board.

Intresting that Rodgers keeps saying that Nicholson and DD are good guys but he never mentions Lawwell. And also talks about that we will see how it "evolve" over the next couple of weeks. Hopefully Lawwell gone. IT was the exact same drama the last time he was in a power position.

The only, only way I’d consider ever keeping Nicholson is if we appointed and created a proper footballing operation

DoF, head of football operations, data analysis team, the likes. The type of setup all half decent clubs have nowadays.

I’d keep him if we needed a human piñata for the fun day outside the stadium on the last game of the season.

What was Nicholson's brief before he got promoted upwards? It's possible that he was maybe competent enough at that gig but also evident that the CEO is just way out of his depth for him. He's doesn't seem to have the communication skills, vision or authority for the role. He looks to have just been a bagman for Lawwell there so he needs to go from it. I'm not as adamant he leaves the club as I am with Lawwell who has always been the dictator on that board and he has ran Celtic with a strategy or austerity, he has downsized the football team while making himself one of the best paid execs in Europe.

There's a lot of talk about Desmond signing off on things and interfering in deals but I've never bought that, it's always been Lawwell who has ran interference and has had the club ran the way it has. Desmond just doesn't care, he is an absentee landlord and a passive investor - the club has been by Lawwell, in his image and his mould for the past 20 years.

The fact he wasn't at Rugby Park yesterday, on the back of Rodgers interview Friday give me hope that we will see the back of this utter, utter * of a man. Goodbye Lawwell. Don't ever come back.

Yet, Rodgers comments regularly how he and Desmond chat regularly. Which would suggest he does care and is very much involved.

Hopefully we do see the back of Lawwell though, too much distrust there now.

I don't think it does. Rodgers and Desmond clearly have a close relationship.

    Desmond doesn't visit Glasgow.
    He doesn't attend board meetings.
He is a retired billionaire who spends most of his days on the golf course.
He has a vast portfolio and a wide range of business interests.

At 75 I don't think he has the time or interest to have anywhere near the level of control some people state he has at the football club. I think he has that Trump level type ego where he wants to talk to the big names and wants to role his jet out and get the pictures of soundbytes on the big deals but I think he has just delegated the running of the club to Lawwell.

It's clear Rodgers has a real problem with the way the club is being ran, surely if it was Desmond who was going against him he would call him out on it. I don't think anyone would question now on who the person is that Rodgers feels is to blame for our failed transfer strategies and our lack of investment.

Lee Congerton specifically name dropped Lawwell as the problem with transfers before.

Rodgers also says he has to explain to the board the merits of getting signings done before Champions League qualifiers though and the need to replace first team players with similar or better quality.

So there doesnt seem to be too much cop on to go around upstairs.

The stuff coming out about Nicholson in these fan rep meetings sounds pretty tragic. Maybe the post it note he had to remind himself to organise deals fell on the floor over the Summer.

The fact it was Desmond who picked up the phone to get Rodgers during his first spell and he gave the instructions to bring him back when Ange was leaving, then Brendan has a support right from the very top. I think he does care, just doesn't take much of an active role, or even wants to - that's why he pays the board well.

Because the manager also has very strong business acumen, on top his coaching ability, this is probably where the power struggle began - Lawwell saw him as a threat to his successful, but out of date, financial project - and him trying to protect this whilst going against the fans', manager's and Desmond's wishes has ultimately been his downfall. No matter how you spin it, it's untenable.

He needs to go. I don't think Eddie Pearson knows anything though.

If he goes it's a big start. He's toxic. I get that he holds a lot of sway with the SFA and even UEFA but it's not benefitting us on the park so I couldn't give a *.

We still need a fan advisory board in place though and some sort of voice when decisions and remits are being put in place, as knowing us we'd allow Lawwell to choose his own * successor.

Need a new CEO, chairman and an injection of modern, forward thinking football men.
