In fairness to Marinakis, despite being a headcase, he is waaaay more ambitious than those other two, and certainly has no problems spending money to achieve his goals.

Think he'll do well. Is he risking his "always win a trophy in the second season" saying though?

    That was quick.

Obviously been in the works for weeks this.

Is the squad really set up to be an Ange team though?

Thats the risk. No pre season to understand his way of playing.

    Mental.

The way Marinakis treated Nuno Santo was absolutely outrageous. Won't forget him storming the pitch cause they failed to win a game that would've given them a real boost towards getting into the Champions League. As if Nottingham Forest have any * right to be anywhere near achieving that under any manager or owner.

Really want the next guy to fail at Forest to get it right up the owner. That's why I really hope it's not Ange cause will make it really conflicting.

True, not sure what the strategy was with the signings last season though. Two 26yr olds (one on loan), otherwise the rest were all teenagers and a rookie 21yr old goalie. Not exactly buying established quality, seemed to be more of planning for the future/investing in potential.

I was referring to his reputation regarding (relatively) notorious tightfisted transfer dealings and there was a lack of depth at Spurs, which meant last season during that long period where the squad had a few significant injury problems that Ange was having to rely on sometimes 3-4 teenagers in the team and another 3-4 on the bench.

He'll have more leeway under Marinakis i think if they are friends.
Probably has a better squad of players at his disposal compared to spurs for me.
Good luck to the big man..
