Motherwell are in talks with Celtic over a loan for Stephen Welsh.


Jens Berthel Askou wants to sign the left-sided centre half.

Talks between the two teams are on-going and a domestic loan would also appeal to Celtic as they only have six international loan slots.





Welsh has already had loan offers from Belgium and Plymouth which Celtic turned down earlier in the window.

He already has a number of medals from his time at Celtic but at this stage wants to play regularly.


Motherwell and Askou hope to seal the deal before the 11pm deadline.
