I think it’ll happen. Similar to when we signed Idah, they’ll probably rinse us for an extra few million because we’re desperate. But Idah to Swansea is a done deal now so we simply cannot afford to not pay the money.

34k a week is well within our budget for a Danish international striker with his pedigree.

    Hope you're right man.

Idah going is good news for the hope of this one coming off.

    Just really hope we do!

I’m optimistic today. I think we’ll get Dolberg, the Palace winger and someone like Bowie. Then the last hour or two of the window Anthony Joseph and that Scottish bloke on sky sports will be giving updates about us trying to get a fourth signing (winger) but nothing will come to fruition. I just hope it’s the 4th that fails and not the 3rd.

    To summarise:

Dolberg and a winger will happen

    probably: another striker

    probably not: another winger

That’s what I’m sensing at least. Based on * all

Aye im not worried about this one, we might need to "overpay" by our standard but we can't afford not to now.

Not fully but he’s currently in Wales and completed second part of his medical yesterday reportedly. £6m +£1m.

That’s more promising then definitely. Us recalling him back up here, then him being there with the next part of the medical makes me think we are confident of it.

But Celtic have stung us all before when we’ve read into perfectly logical behaviour

You won’t. Likewise having your club captain doing the same publicly.

More chance of Rodgers becoming Nottingham Forest manager this week.

There's no way we've not been speaking with his agent and know exactly what he is on and what he wants to come here.

We are generally incompetent as * but I don't think even we have put all our eggs in 1 basket at this stage of the window without knowing he wants to come.

Now just watch for this post biting me on the * in about 12hrs time

It’s funny in a not funny way how most posts keep saying perfectly normal , reasonable things that is the way football works

Then remember who we are and what we do and get the fear

Only reason I can see this falling through is if he dosent want to come here but Anderlecht are a circus right now. Give him the 40k a week and a wee bonus at the end of the season if he ends up top goalscorer

Aye I actually am a bit concerned about this one. Have a feeling we might get a fee agreed but ironically its him not fancying Glasgow that's the worry. Or that we are gonna give him enough money.

He's easily worth 50k a week to us right now in our current situation.

We're not creating chances though, doesn't matter if we had Lewandowski there. Dolberg would have changed little against Kairat or Rangers.

It's the wings that have to be an absolute priority. We need a striker too but if we get Dolberg in and don't fix the wing issues we're still in the same problem we are now.

If we'd had Dolberg in for the qualifiers then he'd have surely stuck away the 1 on 1s Maeda fluffed in both legs?

There is a balance to be had, where if the right striker is signed, he could play a style or be commanding enough in and around the box that helps bring the wingers into the game.

If Dolberg is that guy, we could see a my beau Maeda get his confidence back down the LW, we might even see more threat down the right if its Balikwisha, Nygren or another new RW that gets signed.

Think back in the day the wingers and striker complemented each other so well with their styles like peak Jota, Kyogo Abada, that you couldn't double up on all three.

Hopefully if Dolberg is that signing he is the one that brings a better balance to the front three and it causes ripples that we see a better transition from defence to attack and a more connected midfield as well.

Is Dolberg burning the big centre half from the half way line for pace? Unlikely, that's not his game.
