    Can’t see Hibs selling Bowie, they’ll want at least £6M and too right, our board wont shell that out. He’ll only go up in value and we’ll be priced out shortly.

    £3m would be decent business for him in the current market. He has all the attributes to be a good centre forward in a Rodgers system. They may also be open to sell after missing out on Europe.

    I don’t doubt they’ll be against selling him this window, because if he keeps progressing as he is they’ll probably be looking for £7m+ next year.

    I can absolutely see us going in on deadline day, maybe hoping we can unsettle him and trying to push through a move. £4-ish million upfront, another £1-2m in add-ons, sell-on percentage and Kenny (or whoever they want/we can convince to go) on loan for a year.

    I wouldn’t necessarily be against it, but I get the impression that the club thinks there’s still potential for him to have a good season somewhere and maybe eke out a little more in terms of a transfer fee; perhaps beyond what Hibs would be willing or capable of paying.

    It’s verging on off-topic, but I’d be content with loaning him for the year as part of a deal for Bowie, hope that he has a decent season, and then maybe try and use him as a makeweight for Mulligan in a year’s time (should Mulligan continue developing as he is).
