Old Peter told us that is not necessary at all that’s what the cash was for so we could carry on as normal because we had the rainy day fund.

These morons running the club are the only reason a rainy day fund is required. You honestly couldn’t get an easier ride, beat a * poor Rangers 3 seasons in a row and you get guaranteed CL. Beat a team the level of Killie and you get a 4th but let’s try do that with no first choice forward line or any squad depth.

I know there are a lot of figures banded about but the difference between the two given our lowly coefficient at club level is nearer £20m. Still a £20m gamble that we have totally lost due to incompetence.

We all know idah/kenny/yamada aren’t it right now- need another
then If reports are true we want idah sold- need a replacement (should be a back up striker)
Reports of Kenny going on loan (surely not now) - but that would need a replacement.

thats 3 strikers we need and potentially 4 if they do loan Kenny out.

absolutely no way on earth do we sign more than 1 quality striker before the end of the window. Cannot believe what the club have allowed this to become

 

So a handful of days left and we need minimum 4 players.

If we're being brutally honest we need:
Left back cover - looking like the South American lad on loan
Right back (loan/LTB) - Ralston cannot be first choice even with AJ being out.
Centre back - someone to partner CCV. Scales, Trusty et al should only ever be cover for the CCV and A.Nother.
Defensive mid - McGregor cannot be the only option. I want someone who is actually a physical ball winner.
Creative midfielder - we have nothing really to spark us consistently.
Left and right wingers - Yang and Forrest are first choice at the mo. No more needs to be said.
Strikers x2 - we need to replace Kyogo and sell Idah.

That's a minimum of 9 players. Never going to happen in one window but some of these should've been addressed years ago.

CCV has never had a solid dependable partner and I include Starfelt in that. I'd have wanted Starfelt to be upgraded if he were still here.

We haven't ever had someone to take McGregor's spot in the middle, allowing him to be moved further up the pitch. We haven't had someone since Wanyama to allow us to do that. He left in 2013.

Kuhn told us 12 months ago he was leaving. Still not replaced.

Kyogo told us 18 months ago that he was leaving. Still not replaced.

That's four positions that haven't been filled with multiple windows passing and an incredible amount of time wasted.

People will say replacing Wanyama is easier said than done but there are players out there and it looks like we haven't even tried to. We lost Larsson and it's not like we haven't found decent strikers since. We haven't even attempted to sign a physical ball winner in the middle at all in 12 years!

 

You notice the speed that * leave us though eh? * lightning compared to us spending a shilling or 2.

 

Monday is deadline day, looks like we could be selling Yang and Idah and we still haven’t addressed the other urgent areas.

we need 7 in the door and we will end up signing 2. Winger and LB on loan.

This is simply negligence, and self sabotage there is no two ways about it.

We have all this money in the bank and spent 3 million yet our only rivals are going out and trying to fix their situation with buying players.
