Not much discussion ever going on in this thread but that says it all.

He is just so * good all the time. One of the best defenders i have ever seen at the club.

 

Back to his brilliant best, absolutely dominated the Aberdeen attack yesterday. Hopefully he can stay injury free this season because when we have a fully fit CCV it is such a massive boost for the whole team.

Because he nearly caused the goal? He just gives scales the ball to pass so his bad distribution isn't noticed? He was *. He infact nearly cost us another European game.

His brainfarts in Europe are starting to wind me up. He’s at that age now where he needs to start taking matters into his own hands. Try and drive up the pitch a bit more. Look for more passes in between the lines not just giving it to the right back or Scales

 

If Scales makes the mistake he did tonight when they came closest to scoring, he would be getting absolutely roasted.

 

To me, that’s why he’ll never be captain material, much as I love him.

 

The mistake was a poor one but it didn’t cost us and bar a couple of set pieces they didn’t even come close to threatening really.

He is seriously the least of our worries, we should be more concerned about keeping hold of him if we do make a * of this tie which is now more likely than not. I can’t imagine he’d fancy hanging about here to play in the Europa league, when at least 1 of the best players will go to make up for the shortfall.

 

I'm just flabbergasted how this guy gets a free pass on every mistake he makes while over on the Scales thread it's the usual bashing for a stray pass or not being Pirlo on the ball.

Carter Vickers has made 3 absolutely criminal errors under little pressure in the last 3 European campaigns. He is a decent defender for us but he is the most overrated player in the squad. There's a reason no big clubs have came in for him.

 

Can't remember the other 2 but last night's one was bad. Watched the "highlights" when I got home and the eventual shot was only about a foot away from costing us.

 

Was a poor mistake.

The reason he gets away with it more than Scales is because he's about 10x the player ffs.

 

He's our best defender by a country mile. It's not even close.

That being said, there are clearly people in here who target Scales and anything poor that he does and go way overboard, as well. Why Scales was targeted last night was beyond me while other remained pretty silent in the other threads.

 

The Lazio winner at Celtic Park where he got caught dwelling on the ball in the middle of the pitch and the Brugges goal he scored last season when he passed it into the net without bother to look where the keeper was.

 

I don't see that personally.
