I know but if you think about it, the big boys already have 4 teams minimum at CL level so if they got bonus points for CL wins they'd essentially never drop down the lesgue standings.

Perhaps bonus points should be awarded for victories versus clubs higher in the coefficient table to level it out a bit. Like if the Huns had beat spurs or when we beat Leipzig get bonus points.

 

Love the mentality there mate. As bad as we were attacking wise tonight the tie is still very winnable. But the fact that it is now about a 50/50 shot who goes through is a joke and flat out comes down to the boards ineptitude and refusal to get us the wingers and striker we obviously needed from the get go this summer.

6 months ago we took Bayern all the way in the knock out stages of the CL. Tonight we couldn't have hand picked an 'easier' tie yet we seen Scales at LB, Ralston RB, Yang (in general and then out of position), James Forrest (no harm to him but it's 2025 he shouldn't be a starting winger) and Idah then Shin stink the place out up top it simply is not good enough yet as usual it's radio silence from everyone at boardroom level.

 

Thats a fair point you make there, I had not thought of it like that and maybe your idea would be the better way forward giving bonus points for wins gained against clubs ranked higher in the coefficient table.

 

We all on here want celtic to win always in every game . We are celtic thru n thru and feel hurt when we don't get a performance ,not a win , a performance. I won't give up on them over there and you all know we will be supporting them no matter what,its what we do as the best supporters in the world. I'd go one further and say we actively regressed after those previous two seasons.

 

Utter *, the opening day against St Mirren was bad but this was levels below even that. Looked like we could have played 3 more hours and still never got near a goal, no creativity, passing it back, slow, nobody beating anyone except Yang who was having to beat 3 and 4 to get anywhere near the box.

serious revisionism going on regarding our cl run last year too. We were played off the park at home to brugge, could have been beaten by Bern, were insipid in Zagreb.our ability to creat chances and break teams down in Europe is really really concerning
