I would look to give him a decent break now. He should sit out games until the Como tournament and feature sparingly in that.

I know preseason and all that but he literally has been running one long season since he arrived.

Thought he had a good game, especially considering what he had in front of him on the right for most of the match.

 

That pass to Maeda towards the end was a thing of beauty.

 

Looks in need of a rest. Always seems to be in pain and no wonder, feel like he's been playing constantly since he signed.

 

Him and Tierney were our biggest threat first half.

I agree with that. The fact that they are both really good flat out defenders as well as being so good going forward is what makes all the difference. Arguably the strongest part of our team starting wise is our 2 full backs.

 

Little debate there for me

It’s not disrespect, Taylor was good. Tierney is * world class; how the * have we managed to get him back on a free

 

They are also completely different though, Tierney would look very poor if he was asked to do what GT did for us. His only issue was his size and athleticism. His game intelligence and quality was good.

 

Probably not very poor, not as effective but him defensively would still be far above. And I really like Taylor.

I really wanted both of them. So different in styles, both winners both leaders. GT as back up would have been ideal
