If we drop points this weekend it's just gonna amplify even more.

Could be and hopefully are spot on there. weird we bid so so low for breum and then our second bid was * all extra. If Rodgers really wanted him we’d have gone big…look at idah for * sake. Rodgers wanted him at any cost.

Think you could genuinely be onto something here

Why doesn't the board show ambition and make the signings he wants to make CL qualification more a certainty than a possibility.

We'll never progress as a club while ever we have the mentality of holding off until we see what happens. Big clubs act to make things happen more in their favour, we just do the same as always. * about and wait.

Theres just NO EXCUSE for it. None.

There ZERO excuse for this level of contrariness with a transfer window.

No money to spend ... Bollocks. Were * loaded

Players dont wanna come to Scotland... Bullshit. You pay the money, the players will come.

Its hard to work within our wage structure... Cack. What are Sevco doing with zero budget?

We wont make the CL every year... * away off.
We wont with this * transfer strategy.

Weve got the boys club pay outs... Horseshit. Theres still TENS OF MILLIONS ffs. And it should've been settled years ago ya *.

And most of that * get regurgitated OUR * OWN FANS.

What do you expect though, from a * club that appointed a * golf shop manager head of scouting because of his last * name.

Im beyond raging at this point. Id seriously spit in Dermot Desmonds * face if he was within distance. * scumbag *.

Yeah I don’t get it myself because the risk from a financial and business sense far outweighs holding out and waiting. We spend £20 mil on 2 players of quality Rodgers wants. If we then didn’t make it through we realistically in today’s game will only lose a few mil on those players if they’re failures. But we risk losing out on a guaranteed £50 mil by waiting. Sheer stupidity

So no new players on the horizon. Silly me, why would there be? This board seem determined to throw away our huge advantage over the rest of Scottish football for some reason. And when they do they'll no doubt tell us that this was what they were afraid of all along. The club is literally self-harming now.

Remember when Lawwell said that there wasn't some big pile of cash and that we invest everything we get back into the club.

The * bank sheets show that we're * minted. We literally have the biggest pile of cash that Scottish football has ever seen. We have more money in the bank than all Scottish clubs, in all divisions over the last ten years combined!

And we're investing absolutely * all back into the club.

What the * are we doing?

What i said we would do.

Sell 1 or 2 big name players.

Maybe sign a few players in the below £3m region and a few loans.

Board will not give him anything above £10m to spend in total

Board are looking "long term" for years where we dont get European football or only conference league.

I called this in may! Its been the plan all along.

We never hear from them so we dont know.

My guess is for this particular window the issues stemmed from the manager and the club being far apart in terms of what they wanted.

The board (if they ever did explain their thinking) might say we did actually have replacements lined up but the manager rejected them.

I think the reason we have been lowballing these offers and these links to various wingers have gone nowhere is because Rodgers wants better. They are guys that the recruitment team have profiled that fit within our operating model (reasonable young, reasonably cheap, develop potential and ultimately high profit making potential).

The scouts like them and the club are interested in getting them, but Rodgers is pushing for better quality. So they dont want to go and buy guys like Bruem for 5M and risk Rodgers benching him. But will chance their arm at a low fee as there's virtually no risk of a loss then if its accepted. I dont believe if Rodger was all over getting these players that we would capping offers at 3mil. I know the board are tight fisted but that would just be unfathomable. Its more likely I think there is just disagreement between club and manager over the quality of the player needed.

Rodgers is looking to try and make an impact at European level and is probably pushing for players that are in the valuation thats outside the boards comfort zone.

I think the fact we havent got in a replacement by now means Rodgers has (probably) got his way regarding looking for higher level players and having had his public dig at the ambition or the board and quality of player being looked at he has seemed to switched his message to expecting the business to be done late in the window. Im really hoping thats a sign that they have sat down and come to an agreement over whats needed. We will know in a few weeks.

Finished as a football club is a bit much mate. Hoping we get beat I can never get on board with. However I do share your anger. I'm sure when Rodgers says work is going on behind the scenes we all want to think of Nicholson or whoevever constantly talking to clubs, agents, players etc but I just don't see it. For me it's waiting to see how the qualifiers go and then doing our 'business' based on what our revenue will be this season. Speculation on my part obviously but it's a fair punt. I just don't get their reluctance to spend on, certainly one key area, and it is RW. Jesus christ how many times do they need to see what we have IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH. Get a decent option in there and that could literally be the difference between CL and Europa league. Not as if we'd go into financial ruin if we ultimately failed anyway with various invome from Kuhn and others.
