I suspect most, if not all of them would have had some form of career preservation kick in and would have walked when things got particularly toxic that season.

the only players we’ve recently signed that look a huge waste of money are players Rodgers personally wanted.

I trust our scouts way more.

and I also trust us to scout the right replacement for manager when Rodgers does leave. We almost had Eddie Howe too don’t forget which would have been an unreal coup. Next? A complete unknown who then went on to be a success at us and also win Tottenham a European trophy. I’ll put my faith in them to find our next success

The only irrelevant part was you changing it to the next season … the original point was about who would have been able to keep the head after such a poor window in Rodgers first season and you’ve went on a ramble about following seasons and our overall transfer recruitment over the years … then Ange and Eddie Howe Are we not still trying to shift most of the signings from the window that’s actually in question?


And if those signings were a huge waste of money, but they helped us get through to the play off round in Europe … they weren’t really a big waste of money then … as we made a * load of money from progressing in Europe. Funny how much of a coincidence that is eh?

Also, I wouldn’t be bragging about us letting Eddie Howe lead us down the garden path for an entire summer and landing on Ange. My personal view is that we got very very lucky with that appointment after we let him * us about for so long.

That Sarmiento has never really impressed me..

 

Always thought he was a bit of a show pony without actually doing anything meaningful.
