Oh come on now mate, you're just being silly! The club HAVE to produce them. Google it, go on the Celtic website and look. They release info at AGM's also, so not really sure exactly what it is you're wanting laid to you on a plate?

So what if Nicholson's quiet - is that necessarily a bad thing? Possibly, but then again you've seen what it's like with other certain CEO's who are outspoken and full of overhyping themselves in the meedja.

    Modernisation:

Tisdale - again, you or anyone else isn't capable of saying what it is he does or does not do.

DOF - Ok, if that's what you want......fair enough. How is the hiring of a DoF some sort of miraculous modernisation, and WHY do we need one?

Youth set up - I think it's a well known fact that we haven't done well enough in that respect, hence the club have made in roads to change it. You say we have guys in there who don't deserve to be, so who exactly in there just now is just in a job because of who they are, or undeserving of it?

Scouting - "haphazard".........tell me ONE club in world football who's scouting record has a 100% success rate year in year out? OR who's manager gets EVERY player they want at first instance? We've signed massive talents that have helped us secure title after title, and still until just the other day there are receiving royalties for sell on fees on players we have previously recruited.

Again - you mention "modernisation" - you'll need to expand what exactly needs modernised, and compared against what?

You have to pay to attend it. I didn't go, just listened to a podcast about it where it had what Nicholson said. It was pretty similar to what @Celtic_Daft1888 said on the previous page. World class in everything we do etc etc. It's just fluff that's not really worth paying attention to mate. I think we're * against the wind asking for the type of engagement we want with the current board.

As a PLC they have to produce strategic plans informing our shareholders etc.. is that what you mean? As I did Google it and didn't see anything obvious. If you could provide a link I'd be obliged? The fact we are having a conversation of where to find the vision for our club says it all for me mate..

The AGM is a staged sham, always has been.

We don't know anything about Nicholson because he rarely engages, at least when Lawwell was CEO we got that, whether you like him or not.. he's invisible and I want more than that.. we should be demanding more.

Tilsdale has a clear job description ' In this new strategic role reporting to the Board, Paul will oversee the development and management of effective operations to support high-level football performance, including the identification and development of talent, in line with the club’s objective to develop Champions League players through our Academy and recruitment processes.' So like I say we lost Kyogo and didn't replace him, Maeda was running on empty by the Cup Final, part of the reason we lost the treble. Like I say not a great start and have said we'll judge him at thd end of this window..

Tell me how is he qualified to have such an important role at our Club? His last appointment was manager of * Stevenage.. :56:

I've explained why I want a DoF, of course it's no guarantee but I'd feel more confident if we appointed someone who has experience in looking at every aspect of our footballing structure. And they would undoubtedly modernise/improve.

Our manager has criticised our recruitment strategy or lack of it numerous times, very rarely happy with our transfer dealings or the speed of them.. it happens time and time again.. like I say I'm nervous we'll be ready for the CL Qualifier due to countless I mean countless haphazard windows.. there's actually no debate in that..

I've explained what I want clearly in terms of modernisation.. most elite football club have a DoF.. it helps with Continuity especially when a manager departs, he should have already identified a replacement.. or are you happy for our CEO to pop down to the showers and say to the caretaker you fancy it mate? :56:

What is it exactly you're wanting a link to that you can't locate? You managed to find the one on Paul Tisdale perfectly fine. With Tisdale, I can't tell you what makes him right for the role, as I never interviewed him or even read his CV - but you've made enough of a concerted effort to suggest he isn't, so you know more than me by the looks of it.

We didn't "lose" Kyogo - we shipped away an unhappy player and made a profit - most likely in some behind the scenes deal getting us Jota back, imo. Correct, we never signed a replacement, but realistically we had Idah, Maeda and Kenny on the books as strikers. We lost the cup final because we never played correctly, or as proven toward the tail end of the season we never kept up the intensity and direct play we'd seen earlier in the season. Not solely because Maeda was knackered.

As I've made perfectly clear previously, I'm not saying you or anyone else is either right or wrong.

What I would like to see is folk making either a factual or well thought out argument, other than making statements such as "Tisdale's done nothing" or "What's Nicholson done" etc etc......adds nothing of value.

You said there was a clear vision of the club from the CEO, I'm genuinely struggling to find that.. I can only find the PLCs strategic plan which all PLCs need to publish.. which says very little.. so if you've got something better I'd like to read it..

Well I hope I've given you my arguments and rationale.. And like I say he'll be judged by this window and our CL Qualifier and how ready we are for that..

I hope he proves me wrong!

Not actually what I said. I also did ask you what it was exactly that you were looking for?

I too hope Tisdale is successful - and who knows, he MAY have already done some good things (on that I'll agree with you 100%, it would be advantageous to know at times who's done what and why exactly).

With this board, be careful what you wish for mate. They decided to undertake a route and branch look at our footballing structure and how we could modernise it, then asked Gordon Strachan to do it while he was working at Dundee

Looking at his CV there. Well, his list of clubs and roles.

I'm really struggling to pick out what's attracted us to him.

    Let's wait and see.

Fans have seen this play out loads of times, lots of rumours and nothing happens.

    Maybe this time though...

So far linked with a lot of promising players and already looks like we’ve got another 2 in right behind KT all going well.

My worry is that these were the planned moves but we’ll be reactive to any players leaving rather than having several options ready to go now or even bring ones in. Especially for the likes of CCV, Hatate and Maeda.

Ppl need to watch the interviews with Paul Tisdale. I am quite confident he is the concern here. I remember when the Celtic podcasts on youtube interviewed fans from Tisdales former clubs. They all said that all the spending went down by about 90% when he put his foot in the building. His whole career is and "speciality" is in football economics to bring in players as cheap as possible with sell on value. Its not speculation, its fact. I will see if i can dig the interviews up somewhere and post them.

Ofc its the boards fault for hiring him as they obviously did hire him for this purpouse.

The problem extends beyond one guy as we continue to see the same problems regardless of who is in charge. The entire structure is disjointed from youth development through to our scouting. We clearly have scouts out there capable of spotting good players, but there’s an apparent lack of unified strategy as we often end up with glaring holes in certain areas.

Tisdale is the face of it in the same that Lawwell is the board - the problems clearly go a lot deeper than either.

Ofc it does but he is the Head of Recruitment and his vision is well known penny pinching.

The names we have been linked with so far aren't really the concern. I think there's some decent young players in there and the right sort of markets. Not exactly bargain basement either.

If he's responsible then I'm not overly concerned. Even if he has been involved in cutting costs in previous roles, he isn't involved in the submitting offers stage and the issues with us being tight and difficult to deal with stem from before he joined.

I'm still not convinced he's the very best we could have gotten in for the role, but time will tell.
