Did say it’s all speculation but I don’t think it’s hard to see it being true or at least partially true.

We know he has personally been involved in appointing managers.

There’s been reports that he’s the one who sets the transfer budget.

So wouldn’t be surprised if he’s approving bids before they go in.

This is utterly pathetic this window. We should be miles ahead and gearing up for another solid European run, but instead they’re strengthening, while we’re in a worse position than what we were at the end of the season - it’s scandalous..

I find this very interesting! Yesterday, we had one of Lawwell's mouthpieces come out with the "Perfect Knowledge Merchants" article and now today we have this, which almost seems like a response. It's all polite in public; but it sounds like maybe there's a real battle going on behind the scenes.

 

Why would Desmond stall transfer negotiations for several weeks? It's absolute bullshit.
