Other teams seem to manage to get deals over the line quickly. Maybe they’re different from us though.

 

That is one pile of condescending nonsense, of course we don’t know what is going on and we shouldn’t know everything but part of the reason we are left speculating is we operate as a secret society to our support.

We are a communication vacuum. So much so their designated spokesman, our manager because the CEO never speaks, is saying we need to be ambitious and need to strengthen the squad. That article almost tries to say it’s the managers fault for sitting on deals.

I genuinely cannot see that being the case for Rodgers, he is many things but he isn’t going to sabotage his own team by sitting for ages to make his mind up to sign players or not. He might be turning down players because he doesn’t like the look of them but I am pretty sure the ones he likes he would give approval reasonably quickly.

 

I mean I'm sure there's a lot of thumb twiddling, stock market diddling and top notch piddling going on.

Yeah but as I say if the players aren’t rated by Rodgers he isn’t going to sit twiddling his thumbs over them he would say I don’t want him show me the next one.

If we have got beyond the bottom of that pile already then heads should role as they obviously aren’t doing a good enough job in identifying players.

By the end of August we will have been to Ibrox and Pittodrie and had home games against St Mirren and Livingston who maybe on paper we should be beating, but two teams who are brutal to play against imo. Unimaginable how this seemingly shitshow of a pre season will get uglier should we drop points in one or more of these fixtures. We have to hit the ground running. Why are we being so * lethargic in recruitment ffs!!!!!!

 

This is a two way street though.

If the board arent going to communicate any transfer strategy or make any commitments on spending known while they sit on cash reserves - then its pointless expecting the fan base to accept that as ok. Everyone from the fans to manager seem to be in the dark about what they are doing.

They could easily alleviate fan concern by just making a pledge that the appropriate funds will be committed.

So what made sense about us not replacing our first team striker in the January window when we knew he was leaving for months?


What made sense about Rodgers first window in charge when we let Lawells boy play football manager with numerous punts we’re still trying to get rid off today?


And could you help us make sense of the fact that we’re negotiating with this boy from Holland at a snails pace while the Huns have agreed a fee within days for a similar level of player?


What a load of absolute pish … we’ve seen this story play out before, and there’s not going to be some master plan unveiled and our recruitment is going to all come together in a few weeks … we’ve been bouncing around lowballing several targets and wasted everybody’s time doing so, including our own.

 

Should get one of the technical guys to do a poll to gauge how we all feel about the whole signings sage. It could go along the lines of:-

A. Have complete faith in what the board are doing - with not a hint of a damp patch
B. Hoping the board know what they're doing - with a slight hint of a damp patch
C. Praying the board know what they're doing - with more than a hints of * panties
D. Beginning to panic - change of underwear
E. Panicking like * - trip to Primark for a new set of briefs
F. Fecking raging and swearing that you'll not be renewing your ST next year

 

And that is with only 1 injury. What if (when) Tierney gets injured. CCV? McGregor? Maeda ffs. Strength in-depth is absolutely non-existent. This is getting a little scary.
