Wonder if they'll present at any away games and be challenged ala Lawell away to Dundee was it?

And where is Nicholson, where's he hiding at?

As the season returns, the decline of the squad and the increase of the bank balance as standard come August, these * must be the target of any frustrations. No the players or coaches.

We even paid HMRC £7.1 million in corporation tax for having that money just sitting there in the bank its * ridiculous as we could have bought a winger or a centre half with that money these dinasours need chased .

Rather pay it to HMRC, than for the good of the club. Even if not on players, I'm sure that money could've been reinvested wisely elsewhere.

We pay CT on the profit not on the cash at bank but yeah it is a shambles.

I dont think there is an end point. I dont think there is a strategy other than 'win the league and qualify for euro groups as cheaply as possible'. Because weve qualified automatically last couple of seasons and Rangers have been a basket case, weve had a free pass. Our board is simply coasting because they can.

Holding 100m in cash is no more illogical than 70m. Celtic already long breached any argument for what is a reasonable risk based decision. Excluding the covid season, over the last 20 years or so our worst operating loss have been around 5m. Those are in the years we didnt make the champions league. So we are already not saving for a rainy day rather we are saving to cover a scenario in which we fail to qualify for the champions league for the next 15 years or so, without naturally adjusting our spending and without accounting for the present value of the likes of Tierney, Maeda, CCV, Engels, etc. It really is crazy.

Hi Dermot, any results on that internal review you ordered years ago.

    Cheers,

    Just don't understand.

We have so much potential to progress, a quality coach there and we still * about taking unnecessary risks.

There's still time in this window but I hope they realise the flak that will come if it continues like this.

The flak won't come, they know that.

Still, bizarrely, too many in our support give this shower of * the benefit.

Even, if by some miracle, they do get some heat ok then, all they will do is announce Nicholson is stepping down and then replace him with someone else already on the board. Wouldn't even surprise me if it's PL himself.

It's pretty straightforward: they are incredibly risk adverse. Their defualt position is they see us as a Europa league team that may occasionally get a crack at the CL if we are lucky, rather than seeing us as a CL team that may occassionally drop into the EL. Without having automatic group stage CL football they have reverted to type.

Gambling with the season before it's even begun and again from a position of strength. This board will never learn and they need forced out.

I honestly think it'll take the huns winning the league again before our board jump into action.

For me, they see the CL as a bonus, its going to get a lot harder qualifying after this year.

I still think we'll get the players we need this summer, but it'll likely last up until the end of August and I know for a fact there'll be at least one position we dont properly fill. If we go out the CL or drop points in the league before we face the huns, there'll be some real worry for the season ahead, and there shouldn't be considering who manages the huns.

I think we pay corporation tax on profits rather than the amount we have in the bank (though obviously I would assume we pay tax on any interest it accrues).

    Source: https://www.gov.uk/corporation-tax

So if I have understood correctly, I don't think the amount in the bank is directly related to how much we're taxed. I'm no kind of tax expert and I'm just learning about this kind of stuff myself, so I'm happy to be corrected if that is wrong.

The * running our club accumulate to accumulate. If we lose the CL qualifier don’t be surprised if Hatate or Maeda are sold.
