    Usual waffle.
But what I take from that, is he is desperate to get quality players in for key positions, likely Balikwisha for starters. Still, the route for young players to break through into the first team looks bleak, because there are no standouts. Hence the need for imports.

Hopefully start ramping it up now. Couple of wingers as a priority and a major spend in the midfield ideally. Annoying not having it all done before the season starting but is what it is.

I didn't bother watching tonights game and I won't be going to flag raising unless we sign some quality, last season I didn't bother with CL tickets but they sold out anyway, just sick of a board that believes hoarding cash rather than building a decent team is our policy

Been said millions of times on here, but the midfield is all wrong. And that is basically why our backline is put under enormous stress and strain in key matches, we seen it all in the 3-0 defeat at Ibrox, they simply ran through our midfield, we seen it with Ajax and of course Villa last year, elite team they are of course.
We have no disrupters or destroyers in there. It's about time this is addressed.

This is massive issue for me.

It just seems to either be an afterthought, or being outright ignored by both Rodgers and the club.

Everyone can see theres a massive hole in our midfield that any team with intent can just stroll through.

I'd say you can pretty much close every thread in the transfer section, none of them will happen.

We have people running Celtic who have no interest in bringing our and it's our * club forward, without us they have zilch. Happy to take in the cash and do the bare minimum on the pitch, once we stay ahead of the huns everyone is happy.

Desmond, Lawwell and Co should of been chased years ago, Celtic do well despite these * not because of them. Imagine we had people running this club with even the slightest ambition.

Saying it for years, we are going nowhere and constantly standing still staying just ahead of the huns who will eventually catch up if this new lot are even half capable..

Been fairly quiet regarding our transfer window, but it’s just the same usual pish year after year. Thought there would have been activity over the past week, especially with wingers, but Celtic never cease to amaze when it comes to transfers. * about trying to spend peanuts, whilst trying to squeeze every last bit out the fans.

I know we are slow and all over the place with getting deals done, but even this is surprising me.

Mainly due to the options we have out wide. Genuinely starting a season with 34 year old Forrest, Yang and Tilio. Maeda obv there but, still.

    Absolutely shocking.

Sounds like the players being suggested aren’t what he wants and/or anyone he does we are not making progress.

I was having a look at Orjasaeters stats again for the season and although at first glance they don’t look great in a goal and two assists across 13, his underlying numbers are strong.

He has created a number of big chances and is joint second top in the league for this with the other guys high up the list playing for the top teams, his xAssists is close to 5.5 which suggests his team mates haven’t been finishing good chances, his xG is over 3 suggesting he should have a few more goals. His dribbling stats are good with a high number of successful dribbles and a strong percentage too. Both his short and long passing accuracy is high, as is his touches in the opposition box, he makes a decent amount of recoveries and although his volume of tackles is low he has a high success rate suggesting that he is decent at it, his number of successful ground duels and % win rate for a winger is good and he rarely loses possession so is good at taking care of the ball.

I know there was a lot of chat of an inflated fee but if we actually bid close to what they were originally talking about €7m even if that included add ons, put a decent deal down and rule him in or out.

Do the same for a right winger and get on with it if we bought two for that sort of fee you are still under what we got for Kuhn with a few million to put towards one of the other positions.

Yeah, this is starting to become extremely disappointing and completely negligible.

You don’t allow your best right winger to leave, regardless of whether he’s pushing for the move or not, until you are at least close to signing his replacement.

Having your wide options as Maeda, Yang and Forrest is extremely poor moving towards the start of the season. Expected us to at least have a replacement for * Kuhn in the door.

Aye I was looking at a game recently and he was practically having all their danger moments. Think 6 shots or attacking involvements right at the top were through him..

    Was a couple games back..

100% this, we seem to do this all the time, common sense surely says don't sell until your replacement is lined up.

I think it was about Bolton still wanting Kenny but they aren’t willing to pay the £1m we are asking for.

    It really isn't 'usual waffle'.
Combined with the 'depends on your ambition' it's an open and direct criticism of the board and a clear sign the relationship has broken down.
This is serious * - the club have a month to put it right.
    Let's 'monitor' how that goes.

We still lack big strong athletic type players in midfield who can win the battles in there, especially in Europe. I always remember my wife saying that our players looked like the mascots when they linked up in a CL game a few years back and, sadly, nothings changed.
