Yeah, I think he's done really well to be honest.

Not saying he is bad but last season when Kasper was injured he did not really impress me. Conceded several goals that Kasper would not. Huge different in quality between them and im in Big favour of having experienced keepers of high quality for several reasons. Keepers like Hart and Schmeicel, also these keepers are not hard to land.

Kasper has been brilliant for us, and still think he'll have a good part to play, but he can't play forever so important we plan ahead and think Sinisalo has looked very promising generally. He can obviously improve but that will come with more experience so think we're going about it the right way.

Any keeper is going to let a few in, its inevitable, and even the best let in ones they should probably save (see Schmeichel in the cup final).

Aye, remember people getting excited and saying Schmichael could go the whole season and not concede - didn't last that long. No keeper saves them all.

Sinisalo for his age is a great prospect to have waiting in the wings.

The biggest drop off between the two was in Schmeichels distribution, however he is really exceptional in that regards. Probably elite level. So we are unlikely to be able to replace that.

Sinisalo looked good whenever ive seen him. Not sure yet of he can make the step up to replace Schmeichel when he retires but I think hes done well so far. Hopefully we can get another couple of seasons from Kasper yet

Surprised to hear that because, from what I remember, Kasper's passing really started to go to pieces towards the end of the season. It's also surprising to find people doubting Sinisalo because I thought he did well when he came in. His distribution was fine as I recall, better than Kasper's at the time I would say. For me he should have kept his place for the cup final(not just saying this with hindsight either) and, let's be honest, if he had, we'd have another treble in the bag, because there's no way Aberdeen were scoring without Kasper's mistake.

I think the cup final was a fitness/match sharpness question. You might argue that mistake proved Schmeichel wasnt match sharp but at the same time I dont think anyone was disappointed to see him start before the game.

Im not negative at all on Sinasalo. I think he has potential. More I think Schmeichel is that good. He has a way of flipping defence into attack in a matter of seconds that Ive seen few keepers be able to do

There's no point comparing him and Schmeichel. In GKing terms Sinisalo is a toddler.

Has so much to learn. I like him.

Yep, I sussed his Swedish racism way back when he said he wanted Teemu Pukki drawn and quartered.

I don't think we'd regret it. For all Schmichael is a great keeper he's got at most one more season. Sinasola, if he continues and improves could see us through the next 5 - 8.

He always makes me feel at ease watching him, just has the aura of a player who knows what he's doing, which for such a young goalkeeper is really impressive.

As our 2nd choice I doubt we could get better. He’s shown up well whenever he’s played and there’s a lot of potential there. In goalkeeping terms he’s a teenager with a lot to learn but think hes already shown that he is more than capable. I also like how vocal he is, noticed it against Lisbon and a couple of other games. Keen to see more of him, and with a bit more playing time, I think we will see improvements. Probably the only position I feel we are well stacked at just now!
