I think there is no doubt he is more a first team signing than Inamura and if he had come in January of the back of his strong season he would have been accepted more.

It will also seem better if he comes in and actually plays and isn’t just one of these players that come in and we don’t see for a while. He will be match fit as he is midway through his season.

Looking forward to seeing him play. Think it pretty much confirms Maeda on the left this season with Idah, Yamada and Osmand.

Thats assuming Rodgers knows who this guy is and doesnt make it obvious he's a "club signing"

Idah/Yamada/Osmand it is then we think?

    Pretty underwhelming if so.

Maybe when Jota coming back the possibility of getting Maeda in there if needed is a plus.

Hopefully gets a chance as well. Folk were immediately saying Kyogo was going to be too lightweight. Looking forward to seeing this guy play.

Think it will be Maeda/Idah/Yamada unless Idah shows form and Maeda is moved to LW.

We will defo sign a winger, maybe two.

Dunno I recall the reaction to his signing being a bit more positive tbf.

I've said previously I like the look of this guy. But it is obviously a cheaper option.

Unfortunately with those 3 likely being the 3 options for up top, Maeda most certainly is out wide til Jota returns - but I imagine the clubs plan is then for Maeda to remain as a winger, likely left side and we force Jota out right wing again. All we are gonna do is rotate players in to their less strong positions, to accomodate others and/or refuse to properly sign alternatives.

I feel like all three need to prove they're better than Maeda as a striker, our best front 3 for me with everyone fit is still Jota - Maeda - Kuhn's replacement (and in the meantime Forrest).

Maybe it's Maeda as winger until Jota returns, unless the other three show they are good enough to keep the spot.

It 100% was. I think the fact he had backing from Iniesta helped massively.

Came out of nowhere in the middle of the night too. Woke up one morning and we had just signed the J-League's top scorer (or there or roundabout it least). Most people were definitely buzzing for the signing

Kyogo was like one of the guys that everyone suggested after Ange came in and talked up the J League. He was the standout player at the time given his goal and assist stats for the season. Him and Maeda really along with Mitoma.

Feels like we’re just buying random Japanese players hoping we strike gold again. Problem is, Ange hand-picked the 3 who succeeded here after seeing them play numerous times in the flesh. Can’t say this excites me at all.
