Motherwell will want him to move on this year if it was me and I was the player I’d want my parent club to cash in for them helping with development

  1. He will definitely move on, say it’s around £5m that is a lot of money to a club like Motherwell especially when he is their own player and they owe no one else any of that. As good as he is a player, Motherwell will want that cash rather than him for another year.

It also seems he has a healthy respect for them so I can’t see him running down his contract.

If Como do sign him it will be some move for the guy.

  2. He can do better than Como.

it’s his preference to move abroad but count us out yet.

  3. In what way can he do better than Como? They’re a mid-table Serie A side who are massively ambitious and looking to push on. They’re literally signing Kuhn who is a far better player than Miller currently.

This would be a significantly better move than Ferguson’s move to Bologna was at the time.

  4. He would be daft signing for Como now, if he was really smart he would sign for us, then after a couple of good seasons he might get a £20m move to a team splashing the cash, like Como. :fear:

  5. Not sure Como is a good move for him, they have a lot of cracking talent now in midfield so game time would be limited. They’d likely loan him out.

  6. Chance to work under Fabregas as an aspiring CM in a place like that, on great money...aye, daft.

  7. I think he could get a bigger club playing European football. Many of our fans have been critical of Kuhn, who I also feel could have gotten a better move than Como.

I never anywhere made a comparison to Fergusons move to Bologna and I think Miller, at 18, is a lot better than the player Ferguson was at 18.

  8. Don't understand this at all. He can get the move now. Gamble that away but by coming here and maybe getting gametime under Rodgers.

  9. Like who? Miller wouldn’t get a regular game for at least 8 of the 9 teams who finished above Como in Serie A last season.

As I’ve said, Kuhn is a significantly better player than Miller so there’s no real value in you making a comparison between thinking Kuhn could get a better move and claiming Miller could.

I never said you compared Ferguson’s move with Miller’s, but it’s undeniable that it’s the blueprint for a young Scottish player going abroad, making a name for himself and being successful.

  10. Sounds like he has 9 determination, which I happen to know is true anyway.

  11. There are more leagues in Europe than just Serie A. He might not even get a regular game for Como immediately, which might be expected given a change in style, culture and language.

I’m not making a comparison to Kuhn, you commented on my post and brought up Kuhn and Ferguson. Neither are relevant to my opinion of Miller as a player or to my opinion of him potentially moving to Como.

  12. So what you’re saying is that you think he can get a better move, based on absolutely nothing and with no argument to back it up?

What would you consider a “better” move - a league outwith the big five leagues, but the team has Europa or Conference League football? How is that better than being guaranteed two fixtures a season against Milan, Inter, Juventus, Atalanta, Napoli, Roma and Lazio?

Kuhn is relevant because he’s literally went to the same club, which shows their ambition. Ferguson is relevant because he’s practically the blueprint for why Italian clubs are scouting in Scotland.

  13. Feels like we shouldn’t be missing out on a top Scottish talent. But then it’s not a potential signing that really excites me.

Our midfield is already one paced enough as it is. Miller doesn’t change that at all.

  14. I didn't really want him either but think we could do with a Scottish replacement for McGregor, or at least in the middle of the park somewhere. McCowan is decent enough as a squad player but doubt he'll ever hold down a starting spot and none of our youth players have shown enough yet.

  15. im saying what I said. I said I think he can do better than Como and I said he can go to a more established club that could offer him European football. You didn’t ask me why I think he can do better than Como.

You seem pretty sure he is going to end up in Italy, I made the point he can end up in another European league.

Neither Kuhn or Ferguson are relevant to why I believe Miller can do better than Como, iv no interest in speaking about them. You brought them up and then tried to tell me I shouldn’t make a comparison. I don’t care about Kuhn now mate. He wanted out and downed tools. If he sustained his level of effort the whole way through the season he would have got himself a move to a bigger club than Como. But good for him, it still doesn’t affect Miller so it’s irrelevant.

  16. He has a cracking range of passing and will be one of the best technical players Scottish players. Miller will also help out home grown quota.

The only of our midfield 3 who is a nailed on starter is McGregor for me. At 32, it might be wise to gradually start to manage his game time.

Being around leaders like McGregor and KT would be great for him and I think he would make a place in the first team his own within a few seasons.

  17. I'll be gutted if we don't get this lad

  18. Don’t think he’s good enough, to be honest.

As others have said, we already have a pretty slow one dimensional and lightweight midfield. Lennon Miller doesn’t change that. We should be looking for players that are above the level of Hatate, McGregor, and Bernardo etc. Again, Lennon Miller isn’t that as far as I’m concerned.

  19. In an ideal world we would do that but very difficult for us to do. Of all the players mentioned, none were better or as good as the existing midfielders when they arrived. But I don’t disagree that we should always try to improve on the quality we have.

Miller isn’t one dimensional and I can assure you Motherwell fans who watch him week in week out don’t think that. His talent is such that we should make a move, on top of strengthening the other priority positions.
