Finished 17 points ahead yet only beat them once over 90mins all season bcoz even fuds like Clement and Ferguson could see our glaring deficiencies that we continue to ignore every transfer window

Well hopefully we don't finish 17 points clear and beat them then. If that'll make folk happier.

There's obviously things to work on in those games, but I would wager that when it matters we will turn up again. Its a new season and we will go again.

Or hopefully we get out finger out and do the business required.

Think folk need to remember our recruitment team are supposed to work all year round and not just clock in when the windows open. So this it's only early July * doesn't wash.

Also wouldn't be so confident of turning up when it matters, bcoz Rodgers has one way of playing and it's getting sussed out. We certainly didn't turn up when it mattered in cup final did we?

So do you expect all of our business done by this stage? Because you're going to be disappointed every year if that's the case.

They may work all year round but deals aren't concluded until the windows formally open. And believe it or not, not every player we go for will want to sign for us.

No we didn't turn up in that cup final, the first one he's lost with us in 4.5 seasons as manager.

If you're anticipating or now expectating the perfect season every year where we beat the Huns convincingly 4 times out of 4 and win every cup final we ever play in, ever again, then you're going to again, be disappointed. We all want the club to be successful and we have been, there's definitely a lot of room to improve. I don't disagree. But the way people are going on you'd think we hadn't won the title in years or hadn't shown anything at all last season.

It's absolutely mind numbing, you'd get a more realistic picture of where we are as club right now talking to a group of raging huns than the moonholwers on here at times.

If we see no further movement and it's say 18th August, then I'll start moaning.

All things considered, for signings considered big spends and likely to take some level of back and forth annoyingly because everyone will want their piece, i think we are going to see two more signings and be done with the window.

If that translates into one signing between now and say 18th August (just a a random date I've picked out my head) that comes in at a reported price of £7mill+, then I'd expect the final stretch is likely spent on signing our next £7mill+ signing.

Who and what positions they will be for, I've * no clue. But if Celtic are putting in effort to be a little wiser with targets, like I think they've been with recent signings, I think those two are likely all we need. And assuming like crazy those two would be exciting names, then I think we have had a stormer of a window.

For instance, the next two signings we make for £7mill+ each, i don't believe will be as contentious as Trusty and Idah among the fanbase.

This is potentially one of the worst close seasons I've seen on here in 15 year. Including Deila and some of Lennons shockers.

I get the apprehension over transfers but even a 17 point league winning season is now used as an arguing point. That's not to say it was a perfect year but, christ.

I honestly dont get it, you'd think we'd lost the league last year and it was the 15th August with 2 players signed.

There's always been a lot of OTT during transfer windows on here, but this is the earliest and the worst I've ever seen it.

You come out with utter pish on a regular basis, but can you at least answer me this.

Would you be happy with any of the huns signings if they came to us? Like, properly happy?

Aasgard is an okay player who id "maybe" take and that's it.

Think what it boils down to is we ended the season pretty badly got played off the park by the mutants for a game and a half and the perception is they have brought in quite a few that may very well be crap. Followed by a dreadful performance in the cup final. In comparison we don’t seem to be obviously moving forward from a pretty poor end of season.

Slowly but surely just turning off of these forums, nowadays. It's beyond boring. Same posters in here who just get so riled up that I often wonder what is the actual point of supporting us. Putting down our domestic success, focussing on our poor Euro record, moaning every single window about a lack of big money signings.

What is the even point of supporting us if you want to diminish all the good things we have done and focus on the * things we have done.

Now and again I click the show ignored content and see who's talking *, reminds me why I blocked them. :56:

I think some people just aren't happy unless they're complaining.

We have known since last October we needed a new 1st choice striker yet here we are in middle of July and we still haven't signed one. 5 weeks away from the biggest game of the season and currently weaker than we were last year.

The board are beyond defending. We have £80m sitting in the bank. Why? We are a football club, what benefit to us as a football club is that money sitting there? There's no plans to develop stadium, training grounds have been upgraded without effecting money in the bank. The only people that money sitting there benefits are the shareholders and executives. We are a football club not a * bank.

All that money sitting there but once again we clearly aren't going to do any significant business until Khun is sold.

There’s a point to that definitely, but at some point there does have to be some form of upscaling things slightly in terms of recruitment. I’m not saying every player has to be 10 million, but the recruitment a few windows ago was definitely problematic for a few reasons.

We ended up with a bunch of signings who we’re actively still trying to punt or have punted at a loss. That kind of bloated squad impacts our youth development as well … I would much rather a few signings with a bit of pedigree come in, a few youth players taking some kind of role in the squad, ie Murray instead of Lagerbielke and Frame getting a shot as one of the back up fullbacks than have a lot of guys not contributing because they’re still too much of a project.

In saying that, it’s still early in this window and the bigger signings are likely going to happen later on.

Personally I agree. I'm not 100% convinced Rodgers agrees.
