He had an injury last season. Ligue 1 team being interested might rule us out though

Although it says undisclosed I think it’s Paris FC who have just come up to Ligue 1 so we should be able to compete financially at least with them.

If they are they don’t seem to spend it, a bit like us. Although they have made a couple of chunky signings this season but it’s the first time as far as I can see in a while.

Edit - just reading they were bought in the last year by the owner of LVMH so one of Europe’s richest people. So yeah they will have some serious money behind them.

Good on rapid. They’ve seen within just over a year we’ve over quadrupled the sum we paid them for Kuhn. This guy has better stats….no wonder they’ve tried pricing high immediately.

this is where we go wrong; if we started high then we’d maybe get more than expected. Instead we value our players at what we’d be happy for them to leave at. Not what we HOPE we could get for them.

We can't moan about our board demanding more for players and then kick up a fuss when other teams want more than we've been paying them. They won't get £10m but I think they are probably right to ask for double what they got for Kuhn.

The rumour of £10m is bullshit. Will likely be a similar fee to Kuhn, maybe slightly more.

Their owner is worth more than Man City and PSGs.

https://kurier.at/sport/fussball/ra...-rekord-millionen-celtic-frankreich/40305618110 million deal: Rapid is close to a record sale

While most people are talking about Marko Arnautovic , Rapid is working on the most lucrative sale in the club's history. Isak Jansson is on the verge of a sensational transfer .

In Freistadt, the Swede demonstrated a special training combination on Monday: fitness exercises, alternating with glances at his phone. Then the dumbbells for his upper arms, and soon back to his phone.

When asked by KURIER whether there would be a reunion at the training camp on Tuesday , Jansson replied with a smile: "Let's see."

The winger was no longer sent onto the pitch – too risky, given the negotiated sums.

“We rejected an offer that would exceed Rapid’s transfer record,” confirms Markus Katzer.

So far, Robert Beric and Max Wöber have each brought in around 7.5 million .

Why is Katzer doing this? Is the sporting director a gambler? He clearly holds all the important cards.

There are several potential buyers for Isak Jansson who have been bidding high since Friday.

Celtic Glasgow has been a fan of the Hütteldorfer since the Kühn deal and, after the sale of the German to Como – to succeed the 19 million man – wants to buy in Vienna again.

There is also a French club that is bidding.

Rapid's current demand from Celtic is said to be ten million pounds . That would be €11.5 million .

After the developments on Monday morning, it seems very likely that it will reach double digits.

The extreme interest in Jansson also reflects the general development in the transfer market: there is increasing scouting based on data and buying pure potential.

Indeed, the sprinter was often injured. While 15 points in 33 competitive games last season were very good, they weren't outstanding.

Nevertheless, the two-footed dribbler's stats make him stand out in all international data profiles. Similar to Kühn, potential buyers are speculating that they could see an even better Isak Jansson in the near future.

And that is why around ten million euros will be paid.

The Swede was bought a year ago for 250,000 euros from the Spanish second division.

According to KURIER information, Cartagena has no transfer participation , so Rapid retains everything from the record deal except for the usual participation in the player or management.

Part of this will be invested in Jansson's successor . Negotiations are already well advanced . A strong, fast wing is expected.

Coach Peter Stöger takes the surprising development—and the imminent absence of a potential regular player—in stride: "Not all plans become reality. And sometimes something even better comes along."

That’s what happens when you wait to sell first before buying the replacement, everyone knows Celtics got plenty of cash in the bank and up for the window. Not to mention they sold us Kuhn on the cheap and we have coined in.

I'm not convinced it is gonna be that much. If it is, I'd say its more down to other interest rather than knowing we have money. As we have money regardless of Kuhn and its early in the window so not as if they have us over a barrel.

Watching the clips, not a patch on Kuhn before he signed.
One or 2 good moments, has pace but very raw technically - and if these are his best moments(?), then there's absolutely nothing here to justify even close to £10M.

Nowhere even close to Sondre Ørjasæter.
Mikey Johnstons or even Rabbie Matondos YouTube reel would be a level above this lads best moments.

Maybe there are other clips?? but totally underwhelmed.
