I do the same with the huns, and also get worries on England, but things like Martin getting huns job and Engerlund doing that against the mighty Andorra settle my nerves a bit.

Thankfully can tick off England winning it next year.

 

Not sure we can rule it out. They have a good squad aside from their centre half options which might kill them. Tuchel has a year to get them firing.

No doubt there is some amount of talent to work with though

 

That Belgium team are the total pits.

They might still win it but theyre going to struggle to qualify the way its going.

It's a game at the end of the season where everyone was knackered. I think any teams results right now are not that important in the grand scheme of things.

 

Bit crazy, but things looking good so far in Norway (against Israel):

 

Cape Verde with a population of 525,000 qualified for next year’s World Cup.

 

A bit mental but I think there is going to be some proper dross at the next world cup with 48 teams.

North American given three additional places on top of Mexico, Canada and Trumpville. New Zealand basically given automatic qualification. Minimum 8 teams from Asia and minimum 9 from Africa.

Yeah. There are nice stories on an individual basis when new countries get to the world cup, but the overall standard is going to be much worse. No longer even close to the best teams in the world competing.

Like most of football now, I feel excitement for the world cup because of nostalgia rather than the thought of watching cape verde vs Uzbekistan

 

I noticed that the Faroe islands won a qualifying game the other night so maybe they'll get to america too, 48 teams FFS

 

I bet it ends up getting increased from that number even soon too.
