David Watson would disappear here and I think that would be a shame. He’s one that would be better trying to get a move to a good league, to a team he’ll play week in, week out, and probably end up out our price range.

He comes here at 20 though? He’ll be another career that had promise that fades into obscurity until he leaves us at 25 with 10 games

 

Maybe I’ve not being paying enough attention, and I’m doing him a disservice, but I feel like the relative ‘hype’ around Watson has fallen off a bit as of late. It seemed like he was always being mentioned in the same breath as Lennon Miller (although the latter was still probably seen as the better player), but it’s like he’s been eclipsed at this point - which in fairness might be more to do with Miller likely being on the cusp of his big move.

I still wouldn’t be against us signing him, and we should be sniffing around any young Scottish guys showing up well in the Premiership, but he’s someone we would absolutely need to loan out for a couple of seasons, and ideally at a club better than Kilmarnock. It would be a year or two of additional development and regular playtime for him, and I think our midfield situation will be a bit more open by that point.

 

Kristijan Jakić of Augsburg is a CDM who can cover at RB and CB. He would be a high-profile signing which would let Hatate flourish.

 

A wee bit wary of returning to the Augsburg well. Let's see how Engels turns out first.

Miovski told he can leave girona apparently , would be all over that , thought he was a right good player and would score a load here

 

I would almost be tempted to try a loan to buy there. They paid about £6m for him and it hasn’t happened for him, loan with a £4.5m option would be good business for us to see if he could do it for us.

I do think he is a good striker and quite an intelligent player.

There is a reason we passed on Miovski, and went for Idah instead.
Mioski is capable of going on long goalscoring droughts, and Girona probably found that out to their cost.

 

A year and a half older than Miller but is a level below him..

Has looked good but more due to his energy and tenacity..

Don't even think he's always a regular at Killie, maybe someone will correct me. A decent player but no our level i don't think. Miller is someone who could comfortably step in to our squad and easily skip ahead of Bernardo for McCowan for example in the pecking order..

 

If we're going for anyone in the SPFL, it has to be either Miller or Mulligan. Watson looks average anytime i see him.

 

Mulligan looks decent and when you weigh it up with his age, attributes like pace and physicality, it's worth it on a free. Miller is the standout by a long way though but would take both mate aye..

 

Thing i like about Mulligan is he was really good against us and the huns in both their draws.

Quick and powerful midfielder, which is what we desperately need. Wouldn't be someone who starts right away but young enough to develop, has a lot more potential than McCowan. Hopefully the huns don't get him if we aren't interested.

Miller is someone I would loan out if we got him, maybe even just back to Motherwell for 6 months. Only worry with him Is he's not that quick but maybe I don't watch enough of him to properly judge.

 

Robert Ljubičić is an unorthodox solution to the DM problem- instead of being a secondary CB, he is a LB. Plays in Greece for AEK.

 

Louis Munteanu, 23 striker playing for Cluj, 25 goals in 41 games this season, 2x good seasons at Constantenu before as well, gotten his Romania debut this season too. Wouldn't be overly expensive given the league and that.

Suggested him before he has been linked with a move this summer out of Rapid but does seem a good fit. Only down side is he can be a bit rash as seen in the game with Djugardens where he got sent off inside 10 minutes.
