Not long back from Prague. Thought it was a cool place but much more expensive that I was originally anticipating. Might have been good value 5-10yrs ago but felt like normal European city prices to me.

Been looking at going to Jordan recently. Amman, Petra, Wadi Rum look right up my street. You can get pretty cheap flights from London on Wizz Air too.

Heading to Naples for 5 nights then up to Rome for another 5 at the end of August. Any suggestions for Naples would be much appreciated!

Are you staying in Naples proper or the Amalfi Coast?

I actually really like Naples itself but it’s an acquired taste. Gritty but feels really authentic compared to Rome (which is also amazing but a lot more touristy).

Turkey for a week in November. Decent price, nice hotel. Weather not as hot though as the summer obviously. Just going to get a break from here.

Would really, really love to start saving for another trip to Orlando Florida with my wife and little girl though. My wee one is 2 and would probably take me about 2 years to save up the money needed. Really want her to experience Disney World as a little girl.

Pretty much spent a good bit of my childhood in Florida and can say the same. Something tells me the experience is probably a bit different now with prices and the way things are. I remember we used to get the fast pass to skip the queues at theme parks but these days it seems like you need a fast pass or express pass just to get something close to a normal queue time.

Its never been cheap but it is more expensive now from what I can remember. The problem with the fast pass is every * is getting them… need to introduce a fast fast pass…. Although that’ll cost even more, * :giggle1:

Aye you're talking about 8k-9k if you actually want to enjoy yourself without worrying about money all that much. Obviously have to buy everything yourself food-wise when you get there too.

Crazy money really but a helluva adventure and experience for the kids.

+1 on what Tim says. We went on a big family holiday to Florida when I was 10. My siblings and cousins were there too and similar ages. Some incredible memories.

Going to Budapest soon, anyone been? Is it a safe place? Gives me quite right wing vibes, I think the football fans are anyway. Safe to wear hoops?

Just back from Porto and Lisbon* would highly recommend either/both and neither city is a tourist rip off for prices charged can easily get a couple of beers for about 5 euro and eating out isnt going to break the bank either.

*Went to Lisbon last year it was that good we went back this year.

Only * part was a week past Saturday in an Irish pub in Lisbon, it wasn’t the pub that was * though..

Went for a stag last year. Was class.

The city centre seemed more than safe and was quite bohemian feeling to me. We did go to the outskirts to a shooting range (lol) and that suddenly felt like you were dropped into 1980s Russia. The guys running it were defo ex military but really sound.

But overall great place. We did a river cruise which I'd highly recommend.

Im wanting to book a january/February holiday next year.

I assume Turkey and Cyprus can be quite cold that time of year? I'm not mad on Heat but I'd atill like to sit by the pool. Anyone been at that time?

Went about 8 years ago ann thought it was a great place. Some wee gypsy lady did pocket a fiver note off me while i was buying a subway ticket but my mate grabbed it back out of her hand as she was holding it behind her back. Other than that I never felt unsafe.

Climb up the big hill to the Citadel if you can be arsed. Bit touristy but some amazing views up there.
