Was born a Scottish Catholic, to a family of Irish and Polish decent, in 1978, so I'd say... 1978!

Grandfather was a season ticket holder, so are half my family... Been a fan of Celtic since I can remember the game!

Edit: actually, remember actively not following them for a year when they binned Danny McGrain, when I was just a pup! That was devastating for me at the time... Couldn't stay away though... Just about burst into tears when I saw him brought back in years later...

Brilliant mate. You saw the Lions at their best, must have been superb. I started going mid 70s, just caught the tail end of some of the Lions but the team was on a kind of downward spiral at that point despite having some great players in Dalglish, McGrain etc.

I supported Barclona until I was about 7 based on the reason a had a stoichkov barca shirt from somewhere with kappa on the sleeves. I cant really remember how Celtic chose me but I used to write Super Celtic everywhere with the superman S then colour it in with green and white hoops. Around 1994 I would say, the fact my dad was in the IRA had no influence tbh.

Was born in the centenary year. My dad, the black sheep of an otherwise Celtic supporting family, followed Partick as a boy and had stopped paying attention to football. My cousins and uncles got me into Celtic just before I went to primary school. Would’ve been 1993.

First game a league fixture vs Raith Rovers in ‘94. Two bits of irony in them being my first opponents: we of course lost to them later that year in the League Cup final; and more personally, I’ve now come to live in Kirkcaldy. Folk still talk about ‘94 a lot here obvs.

Simon Donnelly scored his first two goals for the club and was an early favourite of mine. Was the first of the wee Corinthian figures I got. Haha.

2008. I registered on here, and started to regularly watch games. I had a liking for the club until then, and would play as the Hoops on WE6 at my friend's.

1970 Scottish cup final, don't remember anything about the match, as a wee 12 year old my older brother took me along to the match, i remember being up the back of the Celtic end but couldn't see the pitch for all the feckin giants in my way, was always aware of the hoops since a child as there was always talk of Celtic in the house, in school and playing fitba in the street, it was always obvious which way my, and many of my buddies allegiances were going to go.

I was at the one at CP; but that's still pretty cool!

Been to Cologne once in 2015. The Cathedral was in the top 5 most amazing things I've ever seen; but the rest of the city was rather less beautiful if I'm completely honest. Still, the people were friendly and the chips were delicious.

    1999.

I think you go through different phases though.

Like a wee guy you’ve got your favourite players, posters on the wall, few replica shirts etc If you’re lucky you get taken to the games but most young fans don’t get that opportunity every week.

Then you get a bit older and learn about songs, what they mean - political stuff and get to know the history of the club and it becomes more about just dreaming about playing and idolising your heroes.

Once you start working and earning money then being able to attend games etc when you want that’s when you become a supporter by definition I suppose..invested emotionally and financially- a black belt Celtic fan.

    Fucknows.I know what I mean.

My Dad took me to my first Celtic match when I was 5 year old...that was in 1965.
I cant remember who they were playing, but he bought me a big green and white rossette and I kept it for ages. That was me started.

Born in 1988 and remember seeing games from about 93 but really got into it a couple of years later around 95/96 with Van Hooijdonk, Andy Thom, and Cadete was my first real hero.

I always remember his debut 5-0 vs Aberdeen and he scored. They wouldn’t have got 9 in a row if he had been registered when he should have Cadete.

My first Celtic game was at Parkhead against the huns in 1961 when I was 6yrs old. Me and a bunch of mates got lifts over the turnstiles and I can remember having to stand on two empty Tenants beer cans in the jungle to try and see the game. The game ended in a 1 - 1 draw although I got absolute pelters when my mum found out later on as one of my mates mum told her what we had been up to but it was worth it
