I have been saying this before We signed him permanently, a very average player who is not Celtic class.

 

Dreadful. No intention of playing anything approaching a line-breaking pass.

 

As much as I back the boy to step up, this is the one thing that * me off with him. Far too quick to play the ball back instead of trying to make something happen.

In fact, that can be said for a lot of players, which makes me think the manager has a lot to do with it. He needs to be encouraging players to get forward more, and the players need to be allowed to trust their instinct.

 

I think he needs to have more of an influence on games. Today he was totally ineffective with misplaced passes one which led to the sheep equalising albeit from a howler by Schmeichel.

 

Its everything to do with the manager. Mind that moment earlier in the season when he was patronising fans about ball retention - if nothings on, play the ball back and start again etc etc etc

Its Rodgers equivalent to Lenny's 'swap the wingers'.

 

I really want to like him but he's just a nothing player.

Doesn't score. Doesn't create. No pace. No power. No ability to beat a player.

Him and Engels just offer very little on the pitch. Stick them together and it's a nightmare.

 

I hear you but I don't think Rodgers is that one dimensional that he's telling the players to stick to it no matter what.

My guess is it's a mixture of both. Rodgers instilling a base style of play with albeit with some dynamic instructions, and the players not being brave enough to take matters into their own hands when it's called for.

We're way too rigid and it's a collective failure imo.

 

He was the same last season most of the time he was just there floating through games not doing much of anything then he came on to a game around about new year but has just regressed since he's a nothing player

 

Looks quite laboured and as if he is pulling a caravan at times. Hasn’t got anything going since his return from injury.

 

I’ve defended this bhoy quite a bit but in reality he’s just average

 

I think he's a decent utility player and has his uses; but this wasn't a game that suited him and he was our worst player.
I actually think if he'd been brought on as a subsitute, the type of game it became later on would have suited him much more.

 

He doesn't look look fit at all, and struggling to run at times. I was hoping he'd kick on from changing the final vs the huns last season.

 

Some of his crossing, after getting into half decent positions was shocking, really basic stuff. He looks sheep level, was expecting big things from him too, shocking.

 

Sell him, we need better.

 

Yeah another one I wouldn’t be fussed if we sold. He always looks like he’s running in mud. Incredibly slow. I still don’t know what he excels at

 

Hopeless.

 

Thought he had something about him when he was here on loan but for some reason he's done absolutely nothing for us this season. Our midfield as a whole is pretty dire at times. Without Hatate it isn't much better than teams like Hibs and Aberdeen tbh, as a unit.

 

I really wish he was the deepest midfielder when he plays.

 

Should definitely be sold this summer if We can get a decent offer for him.

 

He's as bad as it gets in the engine room..
