there is no doubt. but why is it so * quiet at CP? where are all the singers at CP? I don't really care what people sing as long as they sing.

    Your still missing the point.

If ur at an away game and u want to get up and sing a Celtic song, * brilliant, I'll join you. We have loads of brilliant tunes that create a great atmsphere.

Anyone that cant get up for it when Willie Maley or the Celtic Symphony starts is beyond help.

If u want to sing about the IRA, then as far as Im concerned, I hope u get turfed out

Would you want your kids to witness it? In all honesty, I'd expect some rowdiness and drunkness at a game, it part and parcel of it but I really wouldn't want to sit and listen to rebel songs with my kids.

I don't see what it has got to do with football or Celtic FC

My dad was on the terraces as a boy and i've listened to them sung. We've not turned into mass murderers.

True there, He's anti-IRA songs then mentions Celtic Symphony as a song that should be sung..

"Ooh Aah Up the RA" is a reference to the IRA :87:

Its complacency mate. People have sat in the same seats watching Celtic beat the same teams for umpteen years and therefore find it hard to motivate themselves.

When people go to away grounds its a day out, a different seat and place and more fun, therefore they are more inclined to get up and sing and have a laugh.

Why do we need to sing about the * IRA?

too many people down the years think that whenever celtic play, its an excuse to hold a political republican convention.
the main issue now, is what is deemed as acceptable and what is not.
songs that glorify the pira are no longer deemed acceptable.
celtic football club is not the leisure dept for the irish republican army.
its also bit disturbing that you cannot enjoy a celtic game without singing the so called rebel songs.
nothing wrong with singing irish songs theres plenty. but pick the ones that dont get the club into trouble, because at the end of the day. its the club that will get hit in the pocket just like the dirty * across the river clyde were.

I see your point mate. as I said I just want to have a great atmosphere. somehow it seems as if it's easier to create a great atmosphere with rebel songs as if it's normal songs. what do you think?

YNWA has been adopted as a football song by not only us but Liverpool as well....probably other clubs, Celtic Symphony, is obviously about Celtic FC but I object to the metion of the IRA in it.

What has Boys of The Old Brigade, Roll Of Honour, Sean South etc got to do with Celtic?

Keltoi, whats all this British *, * british i'm Scottish.

Also m8, although i don't agree with the guy, at least he goes to the away games, i don't, so i can't really sit in judgement, unless it does eventually effect the club in terms of sanctions etc.

What i'm saying is, i don't think they should sing them, but they are still good Celtic fans.
