Not even sure about that , its a pretty precious slot in the squad given the position he plays. You can have a couple of midfielders in the squad as back up , but a striker needs to be very good as there are essentially only two slots available. Would like Daizen and a new signing in there next season.

Shows glimpses of real quality at times but think he's still got a fair bit of convincing to do.

It’s a hard league for a striker to stand out unless your movement is top notch and his just isn’t. Only other way he stands out is a target man and we just don’t play that way.

You want to remain positive about the guy, but the reality is he's a useless big diddy. :56:

Still hoping he comes good for us, needs to offer a lot more.

He’s absolutely hopeless and always has been. Whoever pressed the button on 9m quid needs a p45.

Hopefully someone will be stupid enough to buy him over the summer, we need to take a hit on him just to get him off the books.

You’d think in his mind he’d realise he really has to put in some shifts to prove himself, doesn’t even look like he’s attempting that.

Not a great sign that when we sold Kyogo he wasnt really trusted to step into the main striker role. Suggests Rodgers isnt convinced by him.

I think hes probably a better player than hes shown so far. He certainly got attributes that make you think he could improve. But hard to deny this season he hasnt really kicked on and has been ineffective in many games. I think we sign a striker in the Summer which if works out means hes going to struggle for game time. Could see him going on a loan move somewhere.

Don't understand the criticism he gets.

Idah was excellent today. He worked tirelessly and selflessly, held the ball up, and threaded passes, that's his game and why we rarely do that I've no idea. Brings everyone else into the action.

Just because he's not scoring, does not mean he is missing chances or underperforming.

Off the top of my head he was through on goal before he got subbed, and his touch to bring it under went out for a goal kick.
    He was woeful as per.

Aye Norwich absolutely had our knickers round our ankles with that deal. I genuinely don’t see it at all. He needs to play in a team and system he can run channels imo.

Did we actually pay that for him though? I'd imagine it's more like £6M and rest in installments and top ups... Nothing to confirm that, but we're not too likely to drop that kinda money on a risk, even if he was Rodgers #1 pick...

Every signing is a risk, just some more costly than others and yes it will be in instalments but it will still amount to 9m total unfortunately.

I’d not have went past 5-6 for him. Miovski at 6.5 was much better value.

Don't understand the grievance from some that we paid £9m - 2 or 3 million more than expected. We would've finished 2nd last year without his crucial goals, Sevco would've been champions and got the £50m+ CL money.

The OG he forced against Young Boys was also massive, if he hadn't have came on it likely would've been 0-0 and another failure of a campaign. The £9m was worth that alone.
