If anything it should be easier because he's surrounded by better players as team mates. I get it's probably not that simple but should be a factor.

    That doesn’t answer my question.

Early on I thought he was probably our most involved player. He was at least trying to carry the ball forward when noone else was. He looked absolutely knackered in the second half, I don't think he was hiding the pace just took him over and while rangers were bringing on fresh legs we had noone to replace him with.

I can’t remember exactly the situation but it was tight to the touch line if its the one in thinking of. And he then won a throw in and celebrate it.

I thought he was awful, he was the main reason Kuhn and AJ looked so passive because he was hiding behind his man and didn’t move.

Jesus! He's not the first player to have a stinker in a derby match, and he won't be the last... He's playing at his highest ever level, training like he's probably never done before and is still adapting to being with a club like us... Give him.a chance to raise his game before launching him out the door... I'd say he's been decent for most of his time so far, even if not brilliant, but there's a good player there and his an asset to the squad. Only more time will tell if that asset's worth keeping or not...

Given his background you really want to see players like McCowan succeed and for the most part he has had a really positive season but there is no question he had a really poor game there today. Very disappointed with his performance today.

Rubbish. He never hid the whole match. He was always trying to get involved.

Mate, I sit in the last row of the top tier. And second half he stood behind a Rangers man every single time in build up. Absolutely shat himself.

I think he’s been excellent in his substitute role since coming in January, but other than the assist and maybe one or two decent passes, he was rotten today. Looked lightweight and ineffective for 90% of the game. Obviously he wasn’t alone in that though.

That whole right side was brutal. Personally I think it suffered because McCowan was there and not Arne, the movement was all wrong and they often ran into the same spaces.

McCowan spent too long on the ball and not moving it on straight away which allowed them to get in our faces. There was often a player in space for a quick pass, but once he dallied on the ball the space was closed down.

His positioning was all wrong at times, rather than making triangles he was making straight lines between AJ, himself and Kuhn which allowed them to cut out passes or cut off lines very easily.

Spot on McCowan was absolutely shocking i thought, think AJ was struggling with the lack of movement in front of him and it had a domino affect. We are also so reliant on the structure that someone having a bad game can have a pretty big affect.

Ah well, McCowan won’t have much of a case when he chaps Rodgers’ door asking to play in the big games.

I think AJ just had a shocker himself, it didn’t help that Kasper, McCowan and Kuhn were having shockers too, but AJ was giving the ball away on his own accord.

The decision making was horrendous yesterday, almost everyone was making bad decisions, the commentators were right, they were all impatient. Rather than the simple quick ball that was on, they were spending too much time on the ball and then going for low percentage passes.

It actually looked like there was never a forward pass on because they went man to man really. Centre halves wete doing the usual drawing the press stuff but it was getting to the full backs and all they had was that pass off the Rangers CB for Meada. All dame from lack of movement from midfield and probably good Rangers organisation.

The best way to shift a back 5 imo is shift it quickly side to side or stop the full backs coming in the pitch anyway.

Was impressive at the start of the season but recently has looked like he's just not good enough.

Delighted for him, to say he'll be buzzing is an understatement.

He's been an excellent signing overall. I dont know if he'll be able to take the step up and become a starter for us, but he's an excellent rotational option.

He's been very good, and fitted in very nicely with the team, and he understands the mentality of Celtic.

I think if we sign two, big powerful, pacy midfielders in the summer, and I think we will, he will thrive even more in that kind of midfield set up.
