Unless there's been some info leaked to the police earlier this week about fans trying to sneak something dangerous into the ground or plans for violence really not sure how they can justify this, absolutely mental precedent to set going forward if this isn't challenged and given a clear explanation, not for us specifically but all football fans, this can't become something that just happens when the police feel like it.

The club shat it when the DUP piped up after the tifo last week, our own fans being kettled and denied entry to Celtic park while that mob are in from 1030 this morning with Israeli and Para troops flags singing whatever they like.

Sounds like the cops were bang out of order today.
Members of the GB barred from the stadium and allegedly some Scum from the UB barred as well. Both clubs should demand answers from the police, and they wonder why the police get no respect from the general public!

In simplistic terms, was it a case of if you refused to be searched you couldn't go anywhere? On a public street?

    That's * wild.

Searched at turnstiles anyway right? Quite the police state

Celtic going right to Aaron Haire who's been at a number of Press conference and interviews

    https://celtsarehere.com/celtic-distance-themselves-from-fan-lockout/

Following the exclusion of the Green Brigade and Union Bears from Sunday’s Glasgow Derby, CeltsAreHere understands that Celtic had no role in barring the Green Brigade from entering Celtic Park.

Earlier reports confirmed that both sets of ultras were denied access, with the Green Brigade halted on London Road by police and the Union Bears marched away from the stadium before kick-off. Social media was flooded with images of heavy police presence and blockades, with fans demanding answers as to why these groups were prevented from attending.

Sources close to CeltsAreHere have made it clear that Celtic had no hand in stopping the Green Brigade from entering the ground. The situation was entirely handled by Police Scotland, who have yet to provide a full explanation for their actions

A large gap in the North Curve section throughout the 90 minutes highlighted the absence of the Green Brigade. On the Rangers side, the Union Bears were also refused entry, despite gathering at their agreed meeting point as instructed.

With neither club directly involved in barring their own fan groups, attention now turns to Police Scotland for an explanation. Supporters will be demanding clarity on why these measures were taken and whether similar actions will be enforced in future fixtures

UB and RRC were clearly in the stadium today so only 1 group denied entry today.

Love the GB but it’s not that big a deal, just let them search you and be on your way

it wasn’t as if they said you just can’t go in.

some will say they have no right to search etc but if a quick search at matches of events makes it safer then good

these stupid pyros have to stop. I was at a game once (not Celtic) and someone threw a flare from the back of the stand. It hit my 8 year old boy on the head, landed at his feet and the smoke was everywhere. Really frightening for anyone never mind an 8 year old. That could put a kid off for life.

I'd be stunned if the club didn't have a hand in it. Fair play to him for going but.
