Celtic's 2025/26 Summer transfer window: needed and wanted!

We will win the league this season regardless of results against our main rivals. We have made progress in Europe and narrowly missed out on making the last 16, so the aims have been met. 1 domestic cup in the bag and in a semi final of the other cup.

That said, we are still short in the squad and there is more work/progress to be done.

So, looking to the next window, we have KT coming in. Who and what positions need addressed this summer. For me it's as follows.

2 MF (DMF /AMF)
Winger.
CF.

Obviously should we lose any big names then they would need replaced as well.

 

Would add a RB too

 

A new manager

 

Midfielders, midfielders, midfielders.

Everything else is in place enough for this league. You dominate midfield a 2-3 turns into a 4-0.

 

Players that aren't complete shitebags would be good. Far too many in this team.

I'm expecting Kuhn and Hatate to leave, and I think we'll lose another big player (One of Johnston, CCV or Maeda, More likely CCV imo) so we'd obviously need to replace them.

A lot of players out and not all will leave, but we need a big cleanup.

Not entirely sure we'll get another RB but I think we need one, Johnston will likely be gone within the next 2 years and I don't think Rodgers trusts Ralston.

 

Physical number 6 for the 20th window in a row.

 

Only happening if AJ leaves.

For me a big strong centre mid, I think it's bullshit that they aren't useful domestically. They'd stop teams trying to bully us which is the tactic for most teams.

Another CB as well, one leaves I'm honestly not fussed who.

 

I might get pelters for this, but I think Raskin makes a massive difference for them in games where it's open.

He made a big difference today, stopped the play a lot against us and it shows what having a proper CDM could do for us.

 

Think we need genuine competition there..

I love Ralston bur he doesn't provide it.

 

What annoys me is he isn’t particularly good, it’s just that no one engages him - and if you do engage him and turn him they * panic. See Bernardo in the cup final last year for reference.

When players get tight to you, it’s an opportunity, but we don’t act like that.

 

I think the 17 max non home grown limits us on this.

 

KT coming back helps.

 

I fear that Maeda will be gone in the summer along with Kuhn & Hatate

 

Striker, right winger, right-hand central midfield.

 

Massive summer needed.

If Sinisalo isn’t the guy to be number 1 long term then we need a GK. We know how quickly goalies can decline when they get older and I fear there’s already worrying signs with Schmeichel.

Ralston is gash and AJ has a howler in him. So competition needed there.

CCV hasn’t been his usual self this season. Trusty isn’t completely convincing. So at least one centre back is needed.

Keep Schlupp as back up to Tierney.

At least two players needed in midfield. Probably 3. A defensive midfielder with a physical profile (for the 1000th time). A creative midfielder with goals in him. And another powerful runner.

Another winger. Assuming nobody leaves.

And a striker. Idah isn’t good enough (as it stands).

 

We are going to lose someone integral to the side, and if it’s Meada we will be in trouble.

on face value looking at the team as is, we need

Holding type player, don’t know how many times or how many people have said this for * years, we need one.

10 type player with pace who can unlock defences, this passing it about the back pish when we need something special is doing my * in.

Rapid forward who is agile around the box who has an eye for goals.

they are the main positions if we can keep the team together for me.

like I’ve said in another thread I think we will drag our heels, be told the plenty of time pish, then cause we are not automatically in the champions league excuse and there is no value etc and leave it till the last minute again. By that time we would have sold someone like Meada and we are on the back foot again but they will parade KT like it was the best bit of business known to mankind.

 

More pace and power throughout the spine..

KT adds more pace and bit of power at left back but for me we need......

2 in the engine room with a mix of quality, physicality and athleticism..

Another * of a centre back who's quick enough to play a high line and can pass a ball..

A strong striker with pace and power who can take the ball back to goal, bring people in to play and bang them in..

So another 4 additions at least on top of KT..

 

KT.

A sitting mid, or no6 at least 6ft, black and can tackle.

Another CF, no a 5ft 3 midget.

A right winger who can cross.

Another CB.
