Fair play to Hibernian, a club i’ve a strong fondness for, thought they were great today.

 

Very solid performance, gave Hibs very little chance of getting anything from the game.

The deliveries from Engels into the box from corner kicks are excellent, we should be making far more of them. Big CCV and Trusty should be getting on the end of them far more than they do.

We done the business and that's what matters. We swarmed all over them and they couldn't handle it.
Idah sealed the deal, and showed it's all about teamwork with our squad. He never complains
and just gets on with the job, whether that's has been playing second fiddle to Kyogo or Maeda
No Alan Muir to save the Hibees today either.

 

Loved the atmosphere today in the sun.
Comfortable win.

 

Yeah I thought they got their set up right, tried to be brave on the ball, and played the highest line I've seen from a Scottish team at celtic park in ages. Made for a fun game.

 

Tomorrow night after the last QF.

 

Thought we were very good first half and really should have scored more goals considering the constant pressure we had. Some excellent crosses fired in from Engles which we should have capitalised on and it's perhaps something we should be working on in training. Hibs came into it a bit more in the 2nd half and were (refreshingly) willing to play football and not shut up shop like the majority of teams do against us. Anyway, another step to a domestic treble.

 

It was good performance all around. Hibs came with a long unbeaten run and full of confidence. It was like a game of chess, but every time a Hibs player had possession in our half, we absolutely swarmed them, and did not allow them to dictate the state of play again.

We do need to keep working on our clinicalness in front of goal, that's a given, but reassuring to know that we have a £9M striker in Idah to come on and give us a different option.

 

Tell you something. Their manager has done some job turning them around from where they were at the start of the season. They play some nice passing football at times and he's filled them with confidence on the ball as well. I thought they needed to get shot of him or they would end up in a relegation battle but they stood by him and he's done a great job.

 

Really enjoyed that. Very decent opposition and whilst not perfect we played well. Good weather and full to the end (for once). What's not to like.

 

Overall good performance and well deserved win. Hibernian made it difficult for us without parking the bus but I thought our pressing of them was much better then recent games when we lost the ball and as a result they pretty much never offered much of a threat on our goal. Their keeper made some really good saves and some bad misses on our part but overall a good performance and a good win against a very decent Hibernian side.

 

Good game but would have benefitted from a McGregor special, a Hatate rocket into the top corner and a mazy run from Jota ending with a cheeky * over the keeper. Maybe next time...
