Not once have I suggested he doesn’t try his heart out, in fact quite the opposite. He’s not a whipping boy either, nor do I have a history of that sort of thing with any player.

His problem is he’s 22 and has the game intelligence of a 16 year old lad trying to make his way in the game. We can’t afford to carry that for a few flashes here and there when his direct competition is Jota, Maeda and Kuhn.

Cool story mate. Could argue he contributed more in his cameo than Kuhn did the entire game. But let's stick the boot in for no reason.

    That would be telling lies.
Commenting that a player played *, when he was indeed *, isn't sticking the boot in.

So you come on saying he was *, which is a complete lie. Then accuse me of telling lies for making a hypothetical statement which could actually be true? That's hilarious. Again, another poster obsessed with being critical over one of our players. He's made a positive contribution in most of his recent appearances off the bench and played a great ball through for McCowan to set up our 2nd goal. What more can you realistically ask of any sub? Him, McCowan and Idah all came off the bench and made a positive impact. That's not a an opinion, that's a fact. Was he a 10/10 today? Naw. Was he *? Naw. Does he get pass marks for his cameo? Aye. Must be frustrating watching our games if you hate a player or two.

I still think once you iron out his deficiencies he will be a be a very effective winger at a very decent level.

He deserves the rest of the season to see if he is worth sticking with for next season.

Lol. Think you need to relax pal.

Yang was * and I don't hate him, or any other member of the squad.

Same posters predictably in here the second he does something wrong.

His miss was poor but he was fine otherwise.

He's a trier and he has scored and made some important goals for us, he contributed again today in that killer goal by Adam Idah. I would imagine we are still running the rule over him to guage his progress, and will give him until the end of the season to prove himself.
That being said, if an offer comes in for him that is too good to refuse, we may be tempted.

Lol. Folk are allowed to have an opinion, regardless of how much you can't handle that fact.

Always amazes me how people make statements on players as if it's indisputable fact. 'Don't think he's good enough to make it here' is a lot different than 'he's * and will never make it here'.

Beyond that, as a supposedly clued up football fan who knows anything at all about the game...you can still not fancy a player while still acknowledging when they play well and have an impact. It's not just Yang that gets it, it happens all the time.

It's absolutely pathetic in all honestly. Embarrassing.

Why not try expressing an actual opinion then? You coming on and stating he was * when he came on isn't simply sharing your thoughts on his performance today. Maybe you should try placing your bias to one side and watching the game objectively than trying to ram a narrative down folks throats.

Yes it is. You're so wound up you're not even using words correctly. I didn't share an in depth opinion, but it's still an opinion.
I don't have a bias against him and I'm not trying to run any narrative. He seems a nice guy and clearly tries hard, I was pleased he finally contributed with some end product recently and I support him when he plays like I do with all our players.

I don't know why you're so rattled by someone having a different opinion from you about his performance. Seems very fragile.

Not sure where you're getting the wound up narrative from but that's nonsense. As I said, you made a statement, you didn't express an opinion. If you'd said "I thought Yang was * when he came on." That would be an opinion. Stating "He was * when he came on today." That isn't sharing an opinion. So sounds like someone else could try using words correctly.

As I previously said, you dislike the guy to the point where you're incapable of thinking he's anything other than *. It really is as simple as that.

Admittedly I agree I don't think it's something I've seen you do often, have it in for a player. It's how it comes across with Yang though. Fair enough if it's not the case.

I agree he has alot to learn. But I think he's improving in many aspects of his game, including intelligence. First half of the season/last season, I don't think he's in position to get that chance he missed. Or the backpost headers. Whether he's doing it quickly enough to be around next season, we'll see.

I'll agree to disagree on his performance today, I don't think it was worth being critical personally, especially being involved in another goal which is becoming frequent.
