    Inter allegedly tracking now.
His superb performance in Munich has clearly caught the attention of some of the big hitters.

Hate dealing with Italian clubs. Their ofers are always a complete joke.

I could see him do very well in Serie A, a lot of the teams play with back 3’s and wing backs, he could easily cover RCB or right wing back so would be viewed as a useful player.

Their media though aren’t the most reliable and as you say they are notoriously tight to deal with. However, if they come in he will want that move you would think. Given his new contract I would be looking for at least £15m to sell him.

However, we might not get that but certainly £12.5m and not the less than €10m that was suggested.

Inter looking for Dumfries' deputy: the king of assists from Scotland

Denzel Dumfries' explosion is decisive for Inter's season, but the club is working on a possible replacement: a surprise name from Scotland

Denzel Dumfries is definitely one of Inter's driving forces this season . The Dutch winger has significantly raised the level of his game and has managed to * the role of absolute starter on the right flank , scoring six goals and one assist in the current championship. After having overtaken Matteo Darmian in the pecking order, he has been a major protagonist in several key matches, becoming at times unstoppable in terms of pace and physical power

After the contract renewal , Inter no longer has any doubts about its future, but at the same time it must best structure its forces on the wings, in order to have top-level alternatives available and who can guarantee continuous replacements in all competitions.

The 3-5-2 wingers must be constantly changed, especially during the game. Fresh forces are needed and Matteo Darmian should become just a top defensive wildcard next season , able to cover multiple roles and maintain his great experience and work ethic in the dressing room. Behind Dumfries, therefore, a new high-level interpreter could be found and he could come from abroad.

Alistair Johnston was a name almost unknown to the eyes of the big football, at least until this season. The Canadian landed in Scotland after a brilliant past in American football, but he immediately managed to do very well with the Celtic shirt .

Despite not being very tall, he is capable of combining great strength in his legs with an impressive ease of running, which makes him lucid even in assists . Not surprisingly, he has already scored 4 goals and 7 assists in 24 league games, being used mainly as a right back.

At 26, he could be very useful to Inter behind Dumfries and the operation would not be very expensive for the Nerazzurri coffers. Johnston's salary is not high and the cost of the card is just under 10 million euros , so the club could be attracted by the operation

I mentioned elsewhere that we don't need to sell AJ or Kuhn this summer and can you imagine those two on our right with KT and Jota/Daizen on our left, we'd be battering teams domestically AND in Europe, please Celtic board, give Rodgers the tools he needs for an assault on Europe

We should be keeping him, but if not...
Any automatic first choice player on long term contract should be north of £20M, starting price
It's like Brondby and Kvistgaarden charging over odds - don't need to sell so, it's top dollar or * off.

AJ is * hard as nails and could be our future captain. Irreplacable and worth a * of a lot more to us than that.
His attitude is worth 10m alone, for that money you'd expect an AJ with no legs, legless

Alistair Johnston has joked that his favourite Glaswegian catchphrase is 'get tae f***' and revealed Celtic teammate Greg Taylor is responsible for his obsession with the expletive.

The Canada international has been a huge hit in Scotland since arriving from Montreal CF in January 2023 off the back of an impressive World Cup showing in Qatar. The 26-year-old has already picked up six major honours with the Hoops and is a key cog in the Brendan Rodgers' side that are chasing a second domestic treble in three seasons

When asked in a Q&A session on Celtic's Instagram channel about what his favourite bit of dialogue he's picked up since moving to Glasgow, he replied: "You are going to have to beep this out but it's 'get tae f***", I love that one, it's so good. Greg Taylor says that one all the time. I remember in my first months when I came in we actually did some Scottish slang. I'm not sure that was one of them but yeah 'get tae f***' is easily my favourite."

The right back has also revealed he is a fanatic for all kinds of sport and admits that moving to Scotland has stopped him from staying up to all hours to watch ice hockey and American football from back home. Responding to another question, he added: "Being Canadian I grew up playing ice hockey and loved it, I still love watching it.

"In terms of watching sports, I watch so many different things. It's probably best that I am in Europe now and the time zone means that I can't watch as many sports from back home. My fiancé would say it would because otherwise I would stay up all-day watching American football, ice hockey and basketball

But right now I would probably say my (other) favourite sport to watch and play is probably tennis. I have always really enjoyed tennis and now my fiancé is a very good tennis player so on our off-days we are members at a little club near our place so we will go over there and let her take some steam out on me and kick my *!
