I think it's almost guaranteed Hatate leaves in the summer, and it might be the right time to let him go.

I think we'll lose one of Maeda/Kuhn, not both but I'd be surprised if we kept both.

    Taylor already pretty much gone.

I think we'll keep CCV but I think next season will be his last with us.

Simple answer is no.. this is Celtic and our business model won't let it..

I've come to terms with that for the most part, it's just the way it is... when we get offers that double or treble our money etc said player is gone.

As long as we keep reinvesting it in top younger players and done with punts I'm OK..

need a rebuild from the top down. Sack the board, sack the players just get everyone sacked and I guarantee success.

I think we might lose the likes of Hatate and Khun in the summer. Unfortunately, Maeda's recent scintillating form will be drawing attention, and that would be a right boot in the balls if he went. I also think McGregor's age is beginning to catch up with him and we will need a suitable replacement of a high quality. We know what's happening with KT but I also think we need back up for AJ. We can't stand still

I’ve accepted we’re losing Hatate and Taylor.
I’m actually confident enough we can keep Kuhn a bit longer, this is his first real break out season and been to a few clubs now.
I’m more worried about the lads who have been here a while now. Maeda, CCV, Johnston

Hopefully not because we need to keep up-cycling or we’ll stagnate. Is the long and short of it.

What calms me down is that i think the signings are 95% found by the scouting team and not the manager. A few years ago we was hopeless in finding the right player and now we seem to get it right most of the times. Keeping Rodgers, CCV and Maeda is absolutely a must imo to improve.

I think we'll probably sell one or two in the summer the club would rather keep. Hatate and Kuhn being the two. Taylor being replaced by Tierney is already covered so we just need a backup for Tierney.

The squad looks light as it is, if we sell any key players before the play off its a risk.

We need to add to it and try our very best not to lose anyone. Hatate could perhaps be sacrificed and then Kuhn to go the following summer.

Need to add 4 players of quality to this team and a couple projects would be my target.

Priorities for me in summer would be:

    • Striker - Someone to rotate with Idah as you need two good strikers at any top club. An improvement would be ideal, obviously.
    • Back up left back - Obvious.
    • Creative centre mid if Hatate leaves
    • Physical centre mid who can rotate with McGregor

If we were to be able to keep everyone and add KT and Jeff, then we would need
Striker, ready to hit the ground running and something like that Norwegian winger.
We are so thin on the ground with midfielders right now, we should add but it will likely be a few projects, one of whom should be a rotator for Cal.
Actually in decent shape with defense and keeper.

Bain, Taylor, Welsh, Rockie, Larger, Holm, Tilio, Kwon, Kenny, Yang, Palma could all be flogged, that would be over 100K a week in wages saved and probably bring in 12/15M in fees. Have I missed anyone?

    Agree with this..

We definitely need a winger too, unless we can find a forward who can play anywhere along the front 3..

Based on the thread title. Sadly not.

The ideal scenario is year on year we keep our best players and develop individuals until they hit a ceiling and if that ceiling eventually falls below the required standard at the point, or they’re not developing well enough, we then look to upgrade.

Sadly, we sell for profit when offers come in. Additionally, most players that come here will want to move to a stronger league with better terms and another that isn’t difficult to find, better playing conditions(weather/stadia).

I’d like to think we can get to a point where we don’t sell too quick. Minimum three years at club on a five year contract and do our very best to offer improved terms to players that are exceeding.(CCV, AJ, Kuhn, Maeda)

Sadly we can’t improve opposition stadium or the weather. However, as much as I hate to say it, I like the work St Mirren have done with their decent small capacity ground.

No! And to be honest, we don't want to either...

Our league doesn't offer the challenge required for players to advance to their full potential. Top players who settle here with us usually do so for family reasons, or because they fall for the club/support in a way that it becomes like family for them. In order to get the best and brightest to come and perform we need the carrot of the big transfers. Take that away and they become unhappy and/or lose their focus and drive.

What we need is a happy medium for everyone, and to continually progress in the nature of our acquisitions and youths to constantly drive improvement, without being complacent about our achievements

    No.

Any offer £20 mil or more for any of our players and the board won't say no.....it's the business model we've used to create such very good finances.

Right now I can realistically see any of this list of players going for £20mil or more -

    Cameron Carpet-Slippers,
    Daizan Maeda,
    Arne Engels,
    Jota,
    Nicolas Kuhn

If we receive a bid for £20mil or more for any of these players, it is my opinion that we would sell.....we would possibly even push the sale

I think if we had automatic qualification to the group stage we would not push any sales but because of qualifiers then they will push just to keep a nest egg

No is simple answer, we will always sell to bigger clubs.
As long as the general quality of the squad and team continually increase as we ambitiously reinvest, that's ok.
The current squad need significant improvement, despite recent success so I wouldn't want us to stick with what we have today anyway.

Selling the odd player for big profit gives us the means to do that.
If we go back to being cash hoarders, then it's not ok.
I see more ambition recently for the first time in a long time, but that has to continue or even grow.
If we not, we go backwards and risk losing an elite manager.
