From those angles, I have no idea whether the ball was out or not and neither do they. Blatant cheating.

Factual would suggest conclusive evidence. If that's the case, show us. If they're using the images we've all seen, they are NOT conclusive as perspective is everything. To me, those images would suggest the ball is at least halfway in.

Also amazing how many pundits don't understand perspective or that a ball is round. So an image showing the ball touching the grass is millimeters out, but as you move your the ball, it's halfway over the line haha

Aye, also if the ball is up off the ground then its completely impossible to tell from an angle where it is.

The rational scientific thinking would be from all the camera angles we see, pick the closest one to the ball as that will give the clearest picture and then guess, it's probably the one from behind the goal and the ball doesn't look close to out.

I dont think you can clearly see if the ball is in or out. Goal was given, so how can you change it?

See if they are saying a camera from the 18 yard line is the best view VAR could have then sorry but your on field decision has to stand. The linesman would have had a better view in person than VAR would ever get from the 18 yard line it’s impossible to be certain with a call so close to the line from the 18 yard line and as a result the on field call has to stand.

Our hierarchy should be asking questions. Has VAR ever been used for this type of decision?

We should also be pushing for a better version of VAR .

Wouldn't that camera have been blocked by the players body?

It’s not just that there would have been 10 minutes plus to play at that stage as I think it was about the 85th minute it happened, so the time you add injury time. Would you have put it past Hibs to have Hibs’d it from there?

8 minutes added on too was ridiculous. Game was constantly being stopped for hibs players going down, var a couple of times, subs, whole minute to take a goal kick just about.

No, never mind, I've seen the actual picture now... I thought they meant a pitchside camera on the 18 yard line... I thought that would have been blocked by Johnson himself.

Edit: for what it's worth, I don't believe that picture proves *! So they'd no right to overrule the onfield decision

My opinion is from the different camera angles provided I am not 100% sure if it is in or out but given the ref and linesman give the goal it should stand.

As has been highlighted by other camera angles that are anything bar a total vertical Birds Eye view or a chip in the ball like at the World Cup, you can’t be sure. With a view from an angle as far away as the 18 yard line that has far too much of a horizontal view to be able to tell so for me you need to go with the on field call.

Another weekend of domestic football, another example of why I’d happily see Celtic turn their back on Scottish football.

Apparently VAR's "factual evidence" is a view from the 18 yard line camera that shows the ball was over the line by "millimeters"

Well that's the same camera angle we all saw, and if that's the case that only shows the bottom of the ball slightly over the line, and as we all know a ball is round, so that must mean if the balls over the line by "millimeters" at ground level, then from an above angle, the ball will be * miles on the line. Therefore in play. Goal should've clearly stood.

    * Muir needs his P45 handed to him. The * clearly cheated.
